Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Hi There!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week it's our sketch challenge. We have a great selection of projects on the blog be sure to stop by for some inspiration.

Last week we were in Mexico for our spring break vacation and it was so fun and relaxing. Do you ever get home from a vacation and a couple days into your routine think... Did we just go on vacation? I sure could use another - HAHAHA! I think it's because our family is going through a big change next week. Mom is going back to work. I really debated and talked myself out of it quite a few times but in the end I really want to work. Well enough of all that here is my project for the sketch challenge.
I am really loving yellow, like a little obsessed lately :) I even tried to paint my front door yellow lets just say FAIL! I used the sketch as is and I really liked how the card turned out.

For the main part of the card I used some lil inker dies and the bunny's are from MCT. I just want to say I have a lot of dies from many mfg. and I think these two remain my favorite, they cut perfectly every time.

I inked the blue background and the sentiment is also from MCT.

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Rainbows

Hi There!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a great challenge and one that puts a smile on my face. "Rainbows" I still feel like a little kid whenever I see a rainbow in the sky. They are one of the most beautiful sights in the sky :)

Here is my fun little rainbow card using Lil inker design dies. for both the clouds and the rainbow.

I used a rectangular die cut to cut some polka dot paper for the background. I found a sentiment that fit perfectly on the cloud.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Thanks snow much

Hi There!

It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a great sketch for you. I love to play with a sketch especially when I can't find any inspiration... yes it does happen, usually at this time too. Right after all the Holiday fun. After looking at the sketch for a bit I could see exactly what I wanted.
The mat itself is die cut with a rectangle stitched die. I decided to flip the sketch...

Next, I added a snowflake die cut and some washi tape. The fianl touch is a cute sentiment from APB Let-It-Snow-Stamp-Set.

Please pop over to Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and check out the inspiration from DT and join us for the challenge! We would love to have you.

Trendy Twine - Merry & Bright

Good Morning!

I'm over on the Trendy blog with a fun little gift wrapping idea using our spotlight items APB
Cotton Muslin Bag & Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine. It seems like I have the hardest time finding cute ideas to package up small gifts for Christmas. I love to buy my girlfriends pretty lipsticks or nail polish and I love to wrap them in pretty packages. Here is a great idea for those gifts.

I used these fun bags, they are large enough for two or three lipsticks. They are even perfect for a gift card or cash$$$

I made a shaker tag out of a die cut and used Peppermint Icicle Sequins & Frosted Cranberry Sequins to fill it up with lots of sparkle.

These cute little bags will be getting lots of use this year :) Pop over to the APB store and grab yours today.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Tag, Bag or Box challenge

Happy Tuesday!

This week over at Die Cuttin Diva's we are having a Tag, Bag or Box challenge. My favorite!! I'm sure each of you are going to make some sort of tag for a present or put some treats in a bag or box, so please come over and share what you make! I made more tags:) My mission is to create every tag for every present under our tree. These tags are for our house this year. My theme is red plaid & white, kraft with Chalkboard accents. I'm super excited to start decorating!!

I used all My Creative time products on these tags except for the tree!

I used a tree die cut from Lil inker designs

I had some American Crafts paper from last year and thought it would go pretty good with my theme.

I used some ribbons and Black Licorice Trendy Twine I just love how they turned out and now I just have to make about 50 more - HAHA!!

Please pop over to Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and check out the DT and join us for the Tag, Bag or Box challenge! We would love to have you.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Music Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge! This week its all about Music. Make a project with a music theme. So, I 'm going to admit something... This challenge stumped me a little. I made two projects and didn't really like them, I hoped something else would come to mind and then I saw a banner on a dance school down the street and got the best idea. Don't you love when that happens?

A very clean and simple card...But I LOVE it! I started with a Lil inker rectangle die for the card base.

I used used a cut from Cricut's groovy times for the rainbow and music notes. The sentiment is from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Thank for stopping by and hope to see you join in the fun!

Merry Christmas from Trendy Twine!

Merry Christmas to you!

The design team over at Trendy Twine wanted to wish you a VERY Merry Christmas! I thank you for visiting us all year and sharing your sweet comments. I adore the Trendy products and I'm so grateful to be on a team with some FABULOUS ladies and the biggest thank you to Lesley who runs our team and is so generous and AWESOME! I thank YOU!

I wish I could make a card for everyone in bloggy land but reality is I had my Christmas cards printed and I still sent them out late :(
So this is my card for all of you!
I mentioned recently I bought an Explore and have only made 2 projects but I really like it!
I was able to to cut a font from my computer! I love that because I love fonts!! My buddy Kimberly totally inspired this card, she is so creative and I loved one of her Merry cards so I tried it out :)
I used a great die cut star and tied a little bow with Totally Natural Trendy Twine that I colored with a copic marker. I topped it off with a pretty rhinestone that I also colored with my copic marker. I printed Christmas on a wood grain piece of cardstock and added the "Merry" that I cut and that completed my Christmas card for all of you!

I hope you ALL enjoy a BEAUTIFUL Christmas with your friends and family! Thank you for another fabulous year of crafting and inspiration!

Die Cuttin Divas - Pinterest Inspired or Fellow Crafter Inspiration

Happy Tuesday!!

It's time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. Today's challenge is to create a project that is inspired by pinterest or a fellow crafter. So I came across this fabulous project on pinterest. I loved the idea of a camera shaker card and just had to try it.  Debbie over at Craftin Chaos created the card that inspired me HERE. Now I knew I couldn't do this card justice by recreating it so I used the idea and then added my own details. Sometimes you just need to leave the original project as perfect as you found it :)

So here is my inspired project.
I just loved that shaker camera so I used an MCT die cut and with some careful adjustments I was able to make a shaker out of it just like Debbie's.

Thanks Debbie for allowing me to share you card!

Happy Tuesday!!

It's time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. Today's challenge is a sketch challenge. I think you know by now I LOVE a good sketch! It's such a great inspiration starter.  Most of the time I really change it up but this is a really great sketch so I only flipped it :) I didn't realize I forgot one element of the sketch and I was already on vacation by the time I noticed it so please forgive me :)

I decided to make a card with a nautical theme but I guess it looks like it could be a baby card too :)

The boat is cut from Cricut Just Because cards
The circles are die cuts from Lawn Fawn

So Last week I had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit but boy did I find my Christmas mojo :) I can't wait to share these tags with you. I think the majority of my projects this Holiday will be tags... I never have enough. So here are my Elf tags.

So I started with fun tags from Lil inker designs and Echo park paper
Next I cut the boy and girl elves from Cricut Create a friend and sparkled them all up. I stamped their cut little faces with Peachy Keen stamps PK-1320. I tied the tags with some celebrations ribbon, some Totally Natural Trendy Twine and some jingle bells.

Last but not least I stamped "Happy Holidays" from the CDD stamp set Happy Celebrations

Happy Celebrations

Don't forget... if you purchased a set from CDD, please make a project and enter the challenge or join the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery and show us your creation!
