Happy Fall - Pumpkin Boy

Hi Everyone!

Wow, this week just zoomed by! I have a cute little card to share for a few challenges. After my last leaf/wreath card I thought I'd never cut another leaf :) haha
Card Cupids is having a "Fall themed" challenge.  Please stop over and check out their blog they have a great program called Sending children smiles. Why not send a card and put a smile on a child's face! Also, Fantabulous Cricut is having a "Leaves are falling" challenge & Whimsical Wednesdays is having a "Anything goes" challenge. Stephanie of WW is also having a Halloween party, so stop over HERE and get the details.
So with those in mind I had an idea to make a card with a little guy playing in a pile of leaves. I thought...ok why not dress him in a pumpkin costume.... So here is what I came up with. Have a great day!

Give Thanks

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m sharing my very first easel card.  I saw the Easel Card challenge over at Paper Playtime and I have really wanted to make one and I finally did. I really like the way it turned out and I’m actually  going to use it as a decoration for Thanksgiving. There are so many challenges for Fall, Fall Leaves and Fall colors that I am entering this in quite a few challenges. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Open if you dare.... Pirate Card

Hi Everyone!

Hope all is well! I have been working on a bunch of designs for cards and home decor that I hope to share over the next week.  But while looking through my gypsy I found an invitation that I never shared I think because it wasn't the one we picked & I never actually put it together. But nonetheless I decided to actually cut it out and put it together for a couple of the challenges this week. Crazy About Cricut - Thankful Thursday Pirate theme & Fantabulous Cricut - It's a Pirate's life. I used my gypsy to weld all the letters (Jubilee) & Skull (Indie Art) to a rectangle (George). I changed the mouth on both the skulls to look a little nicer :).  After seeing it I think I can use it for a b-day card too.
Hope you enjoy!

A close up of the welded letters.
Card - 5.5 x 6.5
Paper - Recollections, PP is old, unsure of the brand.
Cartridges - Indie Art, George, Jubilee

Thank you my friend

Hi Everyone!

I have another Thank you card I created for a few challenges! First I used the challenge over at Tattered Time CCCC - Gypsy Wanderings and combined it with the sketch challenge at Die Cuttin Divas and My Craft Spot - My friends are the best.  I came up with a card for a special friend who thought of me on my Birthday!
I used my gypsy for this card. I welded the flourishes to the tag, embossed the turquoise paper, added a butterfly cut and it all came from the Gypsy wanderings cartridge. I put a little spin on the sketch and placed the ribbon a little differently (hope that was OK).  I added a sentiment printed from my computer (which I smeared :( ) and here is my little card! Hope you enjoy!

Patches of Pink Link Up Time - Fall

Hi Everyone!

Today is Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is fall, perfect timing since it’s just a few weeks away.  Although you couldn’t tell by the weather we are having here near the beaches.  I decided to create a project that we could use for the Thanksgiving table.  There is one thing you can count on in my family is a perfectly decorated table, my Aunties have amazing centerpieces! I'm still working on mine, the picture shows a peek of mine with my fall decor and my zebra runner(hee-hee). I came up with “Pumpkin place cards” These were so simple and can be done as simply or as ornate as you would like.  I saw the idea using fabric in a sewing magazine. Being that our family Thanksgiving is well over 40 people, I needed something simple.  It was so simple, I may even do a little something different for the kids table.  I know my fellow DT members have created some amazing projects so please stop over and take a look at the FABULOUS DT projects and link up yours too. Hope everyone has a great day!

I used a 2.5" scallop punch to create the pumpkin base. I cut 8 scallops and folded in half and adhered to each other. Before you adhere all shapes decide where your center is and add your stem and leaves.

I cut a leaf from doodlecharms and the stem is just cut with decorative scissors. I used a pencil to curl 2 strips of green paper and tied with kitchen twine.

I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Antique linen and used my white pen to add the name. You may need a bigger leaf for longer names as I cut the leaf at 1" and it was a little small.

Thank you for stopping by and please link up your fall project at Patches of Pink.

Thank you - Sunflower

Hi Everyone!

I didn't realize that the My time to craft challenge ends tomorrow(I think). The challenge is called In Full Bloom.  I have a ton of thank you cards to send to all of my wonderful friends and family for my birthday. Well here is one special thank you created for this challenge! I know this is not my usual type of card but I'm not sure why I lean toward this style when creating Thank you's.... Anyway, I think this just may be my favorite card since I've started my blog! I used Walk in my garden (sunflower) and sized each flower smaller than the last  using my gypsy. I added pop dots in between each layer to give dimension.  I used brown and black glitter (mixed) for the seed head. I inked and inked :) the edges of the petals and added some ribbon(also inked) and a cute little sentiment. I hope you all have enjoyed the Labor Day weekend!

Back To School Gift Bag

Hi Everyone!

So we have been quite busy! We've had so many BBQ's and dinners that I don't think I can eat another thing.... Well I've also been able to create a few things and will be sharing this week. I came across the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge - Back to School and I decided to give a small gift to one of our neighbor's that's starting Kindergarten on Thursday, you know it's a super "Big" day. So I created the stack of books using my gypsy and the George Cartridge and then welded the worm to the stack of books. The entire reason I bought this set of "Peachy stamps" was for this face! Oh how I love it.... I have been really wanting to make a shaped gift bag and saw that Crafty Sprouts is having a get in shape challenge. So I am entering my project in both of these challenges.

Bag approx 7"
Cartridges - George & Create a Critter

You're a Star

Hi Everyone!

Wow, so many great challenges this week.  I really wanted to play in the two "Sew" challenges because I love machine stitching on my projects. Card Cupids - Stitching real or faux & My Craft Spot - Sew much Fun. I also saw the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge - Wish upon a star and really wanted to make a star shaped card! Then I saw the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut ~ Use the color yellow and thought Blue and yellow is the perfect combo for my idea. So I used simply charmed for the star shape and sweet treats for the scallop border (its a layer for one of the cakes). My intention was to make this card for one of my son's friend but I just couldn't help myself with the ribbon and glitter.  So I'll save it for a girl. Well, hope you all have a great day! Enjoy!
