Today is Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is fall, perfect timing since it’s just a few weeks away. Although you couldn’t tell by the weather we are having here near the beaches. I decided to create a project that we could use for the Thanksgiving table. There is one thing you can count on in my family is a perfectly decorated table, my Aunties have amazing centerpieces! I'm still working on mine, the picture shows a peek of mine with my fall decor and my zebra runner(hee-hee). I came up with “Pumpkin place cards” These were so simple and can be done as simply or as ornate as you would like. I saw the idea using fabric in a sewing magazine. Being that our family Thanksgiving is well over 40 people, I needed something simple. It was so simple, I may even do a little something different for the kids table. I know my fellow DT members have created some amazing projects so please stop over and take a look at the FABULOUS DT projects and link up yours too. Hope everyone has a great day!
I used a 2.5" scallop punch to create the pumpkin base. I cut 8 scallops and folded in half and adhered to each other. Before you adhere all shapes decide where your center is and add your stem and leaves.
I cut a leaf from doodlecharms and the stem is just cut with decorative scissors. I used a pencil to curl 2 strips of green paper and tied with kitchen twine.
I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Antique linen and used my white pen to add the name. You may need a bigger leaf for longer names as I cut the leaf at 1" and it was a little small.
Thank you for stopping by and please link up your fall project at Patches of Pink.
