It's my favorite Thursday of the Month! It's Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is Halloween. I really wanted to create a home décor item. I decided on creating blocks that I can display on a shelf. I started with 3.5” blocks that my sweet hubby cut for me, and then adhered cardstock paper and letters. I used fast finish decoupage to finish the blocks. I love the results but I will say that I had to redo the doodling as some of the lines made with the white gel pen turned yellow, next time I will just do the doodling last. This is really a great product, it's tack free and the finish is really smooth!
I added a few little details that matched my theme and I really like how it turned out.
Please pop over to the Patches of Pink blog and have a look at the creations this week, They are sure to WOW you!
The letters were cut using the Blackletter Cricut Cartridge
This adorable little spider is from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge
This cute little bat is from the Simply charmed Cricut Cartridge
This is a paper rosette made for a .5 inch strip of DCWV paper.
