Hope you are having a nice day. I recently won a challenge over at Cindy's Scraptastic Designs. The prize was 3 of her fantastic designs. Well, the digital stamp world is super new to me in fact this is the first time I have ever used one on a card. It certainly is fun! I did purchase a few copics (boy are they pricey) but well worth the price. I have a question for some of you pros out there. When coloring close to the lines my ink tends to bleed through/past is this due to the type of paper? Just wondering. I know I have plenty to learn and shading is a bit harder than I thought, but I just think it's so fun to practice :)
So here is my card using One of Cindy's designs and I'm entering it in a few challenges.
Scraptastic Monday Challenge - No Red, Green, or Gold
RCC Tuesday Challenge - Let it Sparkle

ReplyDeleteShelly may be the ink in your printer or could be the paper with digis I would use papertrey ink stampers white. Your card looks great wonderful job with the copics. You should try bic markers cheaper and I think they work really well.

My super sweet friend, you always make the most amazing creations... just like THIS! :o) I absolutely love the colors. This is one of my favorite stamps and you colored it so beautifully. The ribbon is stunning! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled you're using some wonderful Copics! I LOVE them and score great deals at Michael's (you can use their 40% off coupons on them!) and occasionally you can find great scores on eBay from very trustworthy sellers. They are worth the investment. Regarding your question, the culprits that come to mind without actually being there are: over-saturated paper (either too-thin paper or too much pressure on the marker.. so hard to always use a light hand) or your printer ink wasn't perfectly dry. Those are my best guesses. I am still learning, too. It is not easy to perfect this gorgeous hobby.
Let me know if you'd like E57 and/or YR12. Both are lovely... and I accidentally bought multiples of them. GRR! Hehe. They cannot be returned since they were open-stock purchases so I want to find them a home. :o) And after this huge novel.. thank you for playing along with us at Scraptastic Mondays and Whimsical Wednesdays! :o)
Hugs and blessings!
