Tea for three!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! We were in San Diego visiting with family! We have a cousin who is playing on a Hockey team in Texas and had a tournament in San Diego this weekend so our whole family went to show our support! I have to say the team is AWESOME! They swept the entire tournament. Go Rhino's

My little group of friends always celebrate our birthdays with a lunch or dinner, it's just so nice to get together and eat and laugh.  I have a friend who's birthday is December 22nd and it's just so hard to get together around this time so we either do it early or late :( So last night I got this great idea with the help of the Simply Sunday  Challenge over at Getting Cricky. A tea party! I will just be three of us, the other two will be out of town :( So I came up with this shaped teapot card. I didn't want it to be too Christmas themed but still wanted it to be festive. I used some doodlebug paper that I won a while back from Paula at More than Favors, it's so pretty!

I am entering this in the Simply Sunday Challenge - It's tea time and the Wacky Wednesday Challenge - Buttons, Bling or Brads

  2. Your card is so cute and I think it's an awesome idea for a birthday get together. Another lady posted a little favor with a coffee and it might be something that you could change into for a tea favor. It would really be adorable on your table.
    Thanks for sharing.

Topped with a sparkle is perfect for this festive occasion... and the pretty blue heart and wintery blue button? I love those, too! :o) The papers are all so pretty, too. Beautiful work, my friend. You are so talented. :o)

  13. This is fabulous! The blue looks so lovely with the patterned paper. I don't think I would have thought to make that combination but it looks fantastic!

Best of luck with the bag for your sister! I'm excited to learn how it turns out. If you use the heat vinyl on burlap, but know that it might have a slightly textured look. I found it looks absolutely wonderful with the look I was going for, but I'm not sure I would have been so pleased if I was going for a bold-coloured, clean line look.

  16. This is a very cute card. The tea pot is great. I love "tea time" and have used it as a theme for get togethers in the past. This would make such a cute favor or program as well.
