Hi Everyone!
Yippee it's Friday! You know what that means Little Scrap Pieces "Fun Friday Challenge"! This week it's all about the Flowers. Wow, you must stop over and see some of the projects my DT sisters made! They are ALL so talented!
Some of you may have heard of a "Thankful" jar, they are all over pinterest. It basically is exactly what it sounds like :) You place little notes of the things you are thankful for daily, weekly, all throughout the year and then on Dec. 31st you and your family sit and read them. Well our church actually handed out mason jars for anyone that would like to start this fun little project. So of course this jar could absolutely not sit on my kitchen island without getting a little "Paper" makeover (haha) Here's a tip... the burlap and ribbon are permanently adhered to the jar as I knew I would not want to change them. The flower is only attached to the tag so that I can change this out to go with my seasonal decor. I know I have my apples from Fall decor but I just put them back in after Christmas because I couldn't find my Red & White decor:(
Look we already have two thankful notes in the jar :) And that's a stamp from the dollar bin at Micheals - SCORE!
I wrapped the jar with the most awesome burlap from Liz's paper loft & added a MCT curly label die and rolled flower die.
I thought I would include a pic. of the instructions just in case it inspires anyone to start this project in their home. I have to say it really creates lots of fun conversation like... Can I be thankful for Homework passes, whoopie cushions and shooting a 76 in golf. Those were from my boys, but my favorite one was when my oldest said I have something for the jar...I'm so thankful Mom learned to cook, our house always smells so good :) That was my memory maker for the week :)
Have a FABULOUS day my friends!!
