It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge. This week we are thinking pink! Come share your projects with us. I'm so proud to say that my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, 30 years! It's amazing, she's had other little things turn up now and then but the "C" word has stayed away :) I put together a card using words that are inspiring to me. I created it in a typography format and printed it on white cardstock.
I put a piece of vellum over the word art to soften it just a bit. I used my stitched rectangle dies from Lil Inker Designs as a mat for the card.
I then cut the cancer ribbon using my cricut and tied it with some jute.
Please pop over to Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and check out the DT and join us for the challenge! We would love to have you.

The vellum is a perfect touch! Love pink!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous, Shelly!! I love the background - so creative to layer vellum over it to soften it!! The ribbon is so pretty!! You need to link this up at Die-Versions for our Think Pink Blog Hop (http://www.die-versions-blog.com/). How awesome that your Grandma kicked cancer's butt!! 30 years is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with your nieces this weekend!! My aunt and cousins are coming from Seattle this weekend - I haven't seen them in like 15 years, so I've been running around trying to get everything in order for them to visit!! So if I'm not around much in the next few days, you'll know why :) Have a great day my sweet friend!! Big hugs :)

So creative! The fonts all go together so nicely, and I like the addition of the vellum over top of them. Cute idea to put a bow on the ribbon!
