Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Hi There!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD,this week is our monthly sketch challenge. We have a great selection of projects on the blog be sure to stop by for some inspiration.

I just love the bohemian look so that is the theme I went with.
I used a bohemian paper pad and thought it went with well with a feather die cut.

Image may contain: text
I followed the sketch and as you can see you can use any shapes or images.
I used some gold washi tape for accents and a gold metallic pen to add a little detail on the feather.

I hope you have fun with the challenge and come share your projects with us!

Die Cuttin' Diva's | Shaped cards

Hi There!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we are working with shaped cards. As soon as I learned to weld on my Cricut using my gypsy I became obsessed with shaped cards. I made so many shaped cards and now that I use my dies a bit more than my cricut I made a shaped card from a die.

I used a party hat die from MCT and created this SUPER easy card.

The die comes with a stitched die that created the hat and it also comes with the polka dot center and the fun pom pom.

I stamped the inside with a really large sentiment that seemed to fit the look of the card.

I hope you have fun with the challenge and come share your projects with us!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Easter

Hi There!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week it's all about Easter. Come show us your projects just be sure to include a die cut.

First I just can't believe that Easter is here, I'm a little overwhelmed. With the new job and trying to prepare for Easter I sure forgot how fast time goes!!! Anyway, I love giving candy and treats in fun ways other than a basket. Here's a cute holder that I made for Easter.

I used a cute pouch holder from MCT and tied with the super sweet Tickled-Pink-Trendy-Twine. I just love the pink and yellow together, it sure reminds me of spring :)

I stamped an Easter sentiment and attached an adorable bunny also from MCT.

The best part - I filled it with FUN Easter eggs.

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Hi There!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week it's our sketch challenge. We have a great selection of projects on the blog be sure to stop by for some inspiration.

Last week we were in Mexico for our spring break vacation and it was so fun and relaxing. Do you ever get home from a vacation and a couple days into your routine think... Did we just go on vacation? I sure could use another - HAHAHA! I think it's because our family is going through a big change next week. Mom is going back to work. I really debated and talked myself out of it quite a few times but in the end I really want to work. Well enough of all that here is my project for the sketch challenge.
I am really loving yellow, like a little obsessed lately :) I even tried to paint my front door yellow lets just say FAIL! I used the sketch as is and I really liked how the card turned out.

For the main part of the card I used some lil inker dies and the bunny's are from MCT. I just want to say I have a lot of dies from many mfg. and I think these two remain my favorite, they cut perfectly every time.

I inked the blue background and the sentiment is also from MCT.

Die Cuttin' Diva's - 3D Projects Purse, Bag, or, Box

Hi There!

Oh my gosh, I completely forgot to post my DT project on Tuesday. I'm so sorry and thank you to everyone that let me know :)  I'm getting the family ready for our Spring Break vacation and it's been really tough to get everything in order, but I'm almost done! Phew, can't wait to relax.

So welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this challenge is so fun and I'm sure many of you will LOVE it. The challenge is a 3D project so come share a purse, bag or box project! My DT has some awesome projects this week and I just loved all the pretty purses, but I made a tiny gift bag perfect size for a gift card.
I used purple because I never use purple and I wanted to use this gorgeous Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.

I just love the size of this gift bag die from MCT it's perfect. I can fit a gift card, some candy and the tissue paper so nicely. It's also great for small gifts too!
I added a cute lavender tag using a die cut also from MCT and some ivory ribbon,

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Rainbows

Hi There!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a great challenge and one that puts a smile on my face. "Rainbows" I still feel like a little kid whenever I see a rainbow in the sky. They are one of the most beautiful sights in the sky :)

Here is my fun little rainbow card using Lil inker design dies. for both the clouds and the rainbow.

I used a rectangular die cut to cut some polka dot paper for the background. I found a sentiment that fit perfectly on the cloud.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have our monthly sketch challenge, so come join in the fun.

I used the sketch to make a fun gift card holder for Teacher appreciation day. The actual holder is a die cut from MCT and then I used some banner flags from Lil inker Designs.

I found this great sentiment in my collection of stamps and thought it would be perfect for this little holder. I added a couple more die cuts, the label (MCT) that the apple sits on and the apple (cricut).

Teacher appreciation day is in May and I think no matter how old your kids its still fun to show our appreciation. My son is in middle school and the school plans a great day at the end of TA week honoring the teachers with gift cards. I miss the elementary days where everyday we brought fun goodies for our teacher.

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Ribbons and Bows

Hello There!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a fun challenge. We are working with ribbons and bows :) Come show us your pretty projects!

I created and wedding card in some muted tones. I wanted to change it up from what I normally create. I always stick with the traditional B&W.
I used my die cut stitched rectangles and a cute little die cut bow. The background is just strips of 1" paper and gold foil washi in between to add a bit of shine.
I stamped the sentiment using MCT stamp and then placed the striped bow on the bottom of the card. I think I'll be making lots of these cards and I can see one for a new baby coming soon :)

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Animals

Hello There!

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a fun challenge all about animals. I'm sure a lot of you are working on Easter projects so come show off your Bunnies or any animal project with a die cut.

I went in a completely different direction. I found this cute hedgehog that I cut a VERY long time ago and I am determined to use things I have. I'm doing great so far.

So I added a cute peachy face (also a stamp set I haven't used) and added this little sweet little hedgehog to a circle die cut. I used a CDD sentiment that was perfect for this little sweetie.

I used some fun paper and some Orangesicle-Trendy-Twine to complete my card!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch challenge

Hello There!

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week is our monthly sketch. I wanted to make a card with a bunch of items I have had but haven't used yet. I really need to get better at using what I have.

I started with some Gina Marie dies, which are awesome and so reasonably priced!  The squares and the rose are both from Gina Marie. The paper is from we are memory keepers. I flipped the sketch so that I could use my precut cards. Do you precut your card bases? I sat one night and precut over 100 card bases and lots of card mats so I have them on hand for quick use.

Here's the sketch for the week

I added a sentiment from MCT Pretty-Spring-Wreaths-Stamp-Set and I used some distress gold glitter from Ranger.

Hello There!

I hope everyone is well, It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week is everyone's favorite - Anything Goes. So come show us what you are working on as long as it includes a die cut.

I have a little lollipop favor to share. These can be used as party favors, or Valentine treats.
Oh my gosh, I picked up this adorable lollipop die from MCT and I just LOVE it.

It is so perfect for the mini lollipops and I just love how it has the holes that are perfect for my Cherry-Cupcake-Trendy-Twine

I added a die cut heart to my favor and then put in my mini lollipop and tied it up with the Trendy Twine. Oh these would be great for Classroom treats!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Dragons

Hi There!

It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have something fun... It's a dragon challenge. I'm not sure if you realize this or not but there are so many cute SVG's for dragons. I didn't even think to look and just remembered a few tutorials on pinterest for monster and dragon cards and I went with that idea. So this would be great if you didn't want to get out the electronic die cutting machine and just use a manual :)
I started with a A2 size card and embossed the front with a dot folder and then took an edge die and cut the front flap of the card to create a mouth shape.

I used lots of die cut circles for eyes and just hand cut the eyebrows. More die cut circles for the nose and then some hand cut teeth were attached to the inside front flap. You can stamp or write your sentiment on the inside under the face :)

Pretty simple and I think it turned out kinds cute :)
