Die Cuttin Diva's - Sketch challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge. It's a SUPER easy one and you could easily use this sketch for so many projects. I wanted to show that it's not just for traditional cards. I created a gift card holder. 

I flipped the sketch on it's side. I took some help from the My Creative Time GC holder die and matching sentiment. I actually had made a quick one for one of my son's friends and thought this is perfect for our upcoming sketch.

The circle is die cut and the Happy Birthday is printed from my computer. I made some invitations for a friend YEARS ago and I still have lots of these left. The middle start is from CDD new banner dies. I also added some little arrows pointing to the focal point. Super simple and perfect for a teen boy. Not too many frills :)

I have a few Mother's day cards to make and I want them all to suit the personality of the recipient. I'm calling this Trendy Vintage :) Perfect for my friend, she loves all things vintage but combines it with the newest styles.

I used papers from Basic Grey Lucille that has a Vintage sewing theme. Then I paired it with a sentiment from CDD Happy Celebrations. I used a top note label and created a chalkboard effect (that's the trendy) added a pearl and tried my hand at some very strategically placed thread - ya right I fought with this darn thread until I WON!

Happy Mother's Day with love!

Hi Trendy Fans!

I'm over at the Trendy Blog sharing a gift set I made for my Mom. This month the DT is showcasing a gorgeous color - Tickled Pink Trendy Twine. I've made a few projects with Tickled pink and you can see all of them below. Today I'm sharing a very simple card and gift box.

For the card, I started with some heavy white card stock and created a background with paint splatters and inked lines. 

 I found some feathers and tied them with Tickled Pink Trendy Twine and stamped a Mother's Day sentiment.

This year I wrapped up some pretty earrings that fit perfectly in this box and again tied it with Tickled Pink Trendy Twine. I added a tiny little tag and stamped it with love!

Die Cuttin Diva's - Garden challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge! This week we have a garden challenge. Just simply create something you would find in a garden. I think this challenge is perfect for spring. I just planted a small vegetable and herb garden and wish I had the room for a flower garden. Unfortunately, only one side of our yard gets great sun so I end up using it all for my veggies. 
For my garden themed project I created a card full of flowers! 

 I used some gorgeous paper and machine stitched the background.

I added some die cut flowers from My Creative Time.

Look at these pretty cuts. I stamped it with a very appropriate sentiment and added some jute for a little more pizzazz.

We're all movin' and shakin' over at CDD :) I'm sharing a fun shaker card using lost of CDD products! 

I started with the new Banner Dies and used two cuts for my base. I then cut a square and placed the oval die  in the center. I used some fun new sequins for the shakin :)

I also used the new stamp set Just Bugcause & Dies for the gorgeous butterfly and sentiment. This is such a GREAT set and I think you all agree because CDD sold out of these little cuties, but they'll be back in stock VERY soon.

Here's what I've created for you today...

I took advantage of these adorable little critters and made a sweet little note set.

I created a mini gift bag to hold the note cards. I used the oval die from the new banner dies set and stamped it with a sentiment from "Happy Thoughts" 

All the cards are 3x3 and the critters are from the "Just Bugcause" set and were stamped and colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating die that are AMAZING!! This set is so fun and can be used for so many occasions! I'm in LOVE!

My next project is a card using the "Happy Thoughts" stamp set! 

This set is so sweet, it really inspires you to use fun bright pretty colors! I found some gorgeous yellow paper for my background and stitched it with my sewing machine. I cut a kite and clouds for my little scene. I used the Just Bugcause Die and cut the flower and added a rhinestone to the center.

This sentiment is just GORGEOUS! I love the font!!
