Happy Fall - Pumpkin Boy

Hi Everyone!

Wow, this week just zoomed by! I have a cute little card to share for a few challenges. After my last leaf/wreath card I thought I'd never cut another leaf :) haha
Card Cupids is having a "Fall themed" challenge.  Please stop over and check out their blog they have a great program called Sending children smiles. Why not send a card and put a smile on a child's face! Also, Fantabulous Cricut is having a "Leaves are falling" challenge & Whimsical Wednesdays is having a "Anything goes" challenge. Stephanie of WW is also having a Halloween party, so stop over HERE and get the details.
So with those in mind I had an idea to make a card with a little guy playing in a pile of leaves. I thought...ok why not dress him in a pumpkin costume.... So here is what I came up with. Have a great day!

Card – 5.5” x 4.25”
Cartridges –  PDDU, Doodlecharms
Paper – Recollections
Ribbon – Scraps of threads and yarn that I braided
Ink – Tim Holtz, Colorbox
Sentiment – Printed
Glitter Glue - Studio G
White Gel Pen - Sakura
Stamps – Peach Keen PK-493 Everyday Character Face Parts 3" to 4"

You're a Star

Hi Everyone!

Wow, so many great challenges this week.  I really wanted to play in the two "Sew" challenges because I love machine stitching on my projects. Card Cupids - Stitching real or faux & My Craft Spot - Sew much Fun. I also saw the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge - Wish upon a star and really wanted to make a star shaped card! Then I saw the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut ~ Use the color yellow and thought Blue and yellow is the perfect combo for my idea. So I used simply charmed for the star shape and sweet treats for the scallop border (its a layer for one of the cakes). My intention was to make this card for one of my son's friend but I just couldn't help myself with the ribbon and glitter.  So I'll save it for a girl. Well, hope you all have a great day! Enjoy!

Thank You Card

Hi Everyone!

What a weekend!  My hubby and I spent the weekend in Napa. It was an experience of a lifetime.  First we had dinner with my Dad at Bottega and I got to have my picture taken with the one and only Micheal Chiarello.... Second, we stayed at the Hotel Yountville (Fabulous). Third, we saw a comedian at the Uptown and last but certainly not least we had dinner at the French Laundry. There are no words to describe this eating experience. SENSATIONAL.....

Now for my card, I wanted to send a couple of thank you's for the weekend. Here is the first one. It was made without the Cricut.  The paper is from KI memories and Recollections.  I machine stitched the yellow paper, heat  embossed "Thank You" and added some ribbon.

Challenges:
CREATIVE TIME FOR ME - Cricut-less and follow sketch
CARD CUPIDS - Use Dots and/or stripes
