Trendy Twine - Happy Father's Day

Hello!

The Trendy team would like to celebrate all the Dad's today, we are sharing some Father's day projects over on the blog. My Dad is a golfer and a foodie so we sent him a great big basket of all his favorite Italian foods and some golf balls :)  Here is an idea for a homemade gift to give for the golf fan in your life.
If you have a golfer in your life then you know they go through a lot of golf balls. The golf balls usually come in boxes, so you can just open the box and put some of the balls in a much cuter container :)

In this case, I used a mason jar, but you can use any clear container that will fit the golf balls. I tied up the jar with some ribbon and one of my favorite colors In the Navy. This is the PERFECT blue!

I created a cute little golf ball tag using a circle die cut and a dry embossing folder. I added a banner die cut with Happy Father's Day and for a final touch I tied in a tee.

I hope you have a moment to stop by the blog and see all the Father's Day fun!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Bike Challenge

Hello,

Happy Tuesday and you know what that means... challenge day over at DCDToday's challenge is in honor of Bike month.  Please come by and share your BIKE themed project with us and don't forget to show off that die cut :)

Since Father's day is around the corner I thought I would make a cute card for my youngest to give Dad. My little guy used to ride his red trike like a mad man. Once he got the hang of it... it couldn't go fast enough for him :)
I found this cute sentiment from Scrappy Mom Stamps and thought it was perfect for this little trike.
The die cut came from the Boys will be boys Cricut cartridge.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Mystery/Detective

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's challenge. We have a fun challenge for you :) It's a mystery inspired challenge. You have to stop by the DCD blog and check out the inspiration.

I used a fun file from SVG cutting, and the sentiments are from Scrappy Mom stamps and My Creative time.

Oh this little guy is too cute with his big eye in that magnifying glass. The eyes are two sizes from Peachy Keen Face stamps. I used some pattern paper that resembled newspaper and used the new MCT edge die it gives a torn edge look. Lastly, I inked up the paper to give it that old look :)

Please pop over to Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and check out the inspiration from DT and join us for the Mystery/Detective challenge! We would love to have you.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Kids Theme

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's challenge. This week is all about the kids! It's always fun to make a project for a child, I love using all the fun kid colors and elements.

I found these great cards on pinterest... so many different versions and styles and you can make them using circle dies.

I chose a bright lime green with polka dots for the background but you can chose any color. They have some really cute dragon cards in purple... the options are really endless.
First I chose the size card I wanted (A2) then I used my largest circle die to cut a semi circle in my paper but I did not cut all the way through. You actually can cut all the way through but then you probably need a color card stock behind as well. Next I cut 5 - .75" circles for the monster teeth, 2-1.5" circles for the eyes and 3- .25" circles for the nose and eyes. Once you have everything complete, assembly is simple. I adhered the teeth inside the slit, attached the eyes and nose, stamped a fun sentiment from Scrappy Mom stamps and it was that simple.

Please pop over to Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and check out the inspiration from DT and join us for the KIDS challenge! We would love to have you.

I LOVE the USA - 4th of July Home Decor

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your day! Today I have a quick little project I made for my house.  I have had a bunch of red frames from my son's nursery that I kept in hopes of using them again.  I have used 2 of the 8 - hey it's a start :)

I just made a 4 x 5 flat card and just used removable tape to adhere it, so I can use it again for Valentines or Christmas. I designed the "I LOVE the USA" on my gypsy. I also used Scrappy Mom stamps Chevron die for the background (Love this die)

Paper - Bazzill & American Crafts

Scrappy Moms Stamps - Guest Designer

Hi Everyone!

Today I have the honor of being a guest designer for the Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release. Thank you so much SMS for having me! Boy, did I get lucky...these are two VERY cute sets.

The first set is called monster mania, oh my gosh...sooo much FUN! You'll see lots of inspiring projects over the next week from the DT and me :)  This set can be used for a monster themed birthday, Halloween, Valentines Day.... it is such a GREAT set!!

The next set is called Ticket to Adventure. It is AWESOME! It is absolutely perfect for scrapbooking your adventures! I LOVE it!!

Today I used the Monster Mania Set and for my first project I created a Birthday card.

EYE (hee-hee) just LOVE the fun sentiments on this release. I wanted to create a fun little monster but still keep him kind of cute :) I picked one from the Mini monsters Cricut Cartridge and inked up a cute face. I created a fun little banner for my little monster to hold and added some stars and stitching.

Please stop by the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog to see what the fabulous DT has in store for you and check back with me as I will have a few more projects using both sets :)

Take time to smell the flowers!

Good Morning!
Boy, life has been super busy. Just finished up a week of Birthday's and travel. Phew...I'm tired. Just quickly before I get to my card I wanted to share the cake I made for my litttle boy's Birthday.  He doesn't like cake??? so we always buy an ice cream cake but this year I found some inspiration on where else...Pinterest and came up with this.....
Now if you wanted to hot glue the boxes of candy to the base... well... that would have been WAAAY too easy :) I wanted to lightly tape them so I could deconstruct the cake and hand out the candy in the goodie bags. So that's why you see the space in the pic, my candy kept falling :) The kids LOVED the candy cake and the ice cream sundaes :) :)

And here's the card I'm sharing today!

I just LOVE the way this card turned out.  I used some inspiration from a truly AWESOME designer Amy Kolling and HERE is the card! fabulous huh! Well, I think my Mom loved her card and her flowers, that's what we bought her this year, two rose bushes :)

Die Cuttin Divas - Earth Day: Use Something Recycled

Hi Everyone!
Happy Tuesday! I'ts time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. Today's theme is

           Earth Day: Use Something Recycled
I'm pretty sure if you're a crafter you've held on to a few things, a bottle, jar, bag, ribbon, tape, buttons. I know you've got something :) Well, get it out and use it along with a die cut and come join the fun! The DT projects are so creative. I love them all, did you see Laura's card. She used a handle from a old gift bag to create a jump rope! SUPER CUTE!
I have had this Tea canister for a REALLY long time. My hubs received it as a gift from a business client and once the tea was gone I figured I could use it for something :)
Obviously by looking at this you can see it's a SUPER simple project that you could just decorate clean and simple or go wild....

I used orange light weight paper and measured and cut accordingly.  I placed dry adhesive on the paper and wrapped the tea canister. I suggest when wrapping anything to use light weight paper and dry adhesive. I started with the complete opposite  - cardstock and liquid and it bubbled and rippled.
Next is the fun part.... I am using this as a storage container for my craft room so I kept it CAS. I used a Chevron Die from Scrappy Mom Stamps and some yummy Orangesicle Trendy Twine. This is a great technique to use on peanut, popcorn, pringles cans, etc...

Please pop over and link up with us this week, we would love to have you!

Have a GREAT Day!
