Make a Wish!

Hi Everyone!

Just popping in to enter a card in a few challenges.  Peachy Keen Challenge 13-16 :: Anything Goes. So much fun inspiration! I chose to use the new release PKSC -16. This release had a great variety of images and faces.

I stamped the jar on water color paper and then cut it out.  Next I stamped the two butterflies and then colored with a mix of copics and color pencils. Lastly, I added stickles.

I wanted to keep it really simple.  I added a cute sticker I found in my overflowing sticker drawer and there you have it!

Valentine you're DINOmite

Hi Everyone!

Hope all is good! I wanted to share a little card I made for Valentines Day. Peachy Keen Stamps is having a Just card challenge using hearts. I love their challenges, always so FUN! I also incorporated a few other fun challenges as well. I have listed them below. I used mostly scraps for this card. I only had a 2 inch strip of the PP, so I cut the strip in half and bordered the card. The felt heart is from package of hearts probably 5 years old and that ribbon is from last Christmas. Yay getting rid of the old :)

That big polka dot green dino is from Create a critter and the sentiment is printed from two of my favorite fonts - Love Letter & Candy heart.

Card - 5.25"
Paper - We are memory keepers & K& Co

Fall is here!

Hi Everyone!

I've been so busy and wanting to get a few projects done, but time just zooms by. I finally decorated my house (so late this year) and when we finished my son said it's just too cute - we really need some spooky things Mom. He's eight so the smiling bats and glitter pumpkins are just not cuttin it :)
Boy am I ready for some Fall weather! I was feeling in the mood for Fall today so I created a card for a few challenges. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday it's a fun one. I sure hope you all have a SUPER day, thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas - Christmas is July

Hi Everyone!
Ok, I must admit making Christmas projects in 80 degree weather does seem strange. Nonetheless I have created a couple gift card holders for the many gift cards we give the teenagers in the family. Pretty simple design. I used the pocket card from TBBM and welded a rectangle to the top to give it a little more height.
I sure hope you get inspired to get a jump start on Christmas projects and join some fun challenges:)

Not quite sure why the color looks off on the trim at the bottom, it is the sames paper as the other reds??

This is the tag pulled out with plenty of room for a gift card and sentiment.
Holder - 5.25" x 4"

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone!
Enjoying your week? It's the last week of school for us so we've been doing lots of end of year parties and yesterday the entire 2nd grade walked over to our local nature park and had lunch and an ecology hunt. It was a ton of FUN!
So I did manage to put together a Fathers Day card for my Dad. It only took 5 days (hee hee) Every time I stepped foot in my Craft room last week and this week I heard....Mom I can't find...., Mom I spilled...., Mom I'm hungry..., I'm sure most of you can relate :) Well here is my card.
   Card - 5.5" x 4.25"
Cricut Cartridges - CAC (flags) & Wrap it Up (Ties)
Paper - Authentique & My Minds eye (Lost & Found Breeze)

Happy Mother's Day

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I wanted to post a Mother's Day card I made this week. I have one more Mother's day project to post and I think I'm actually ready for the day. That never happens I'm always making a last minute "something" on the day :)
So I mentioned that I purchased a few packs of My minds eye paper. The pack I used for my project is called rosy...LOVE IT! I loved it so much that I wanted the paper to be the center. The background paper is 7 gypsies and pairs so well with MME. I inked the "note" paper with Tim Holtz ink and distressed the edges.
I cut the flower using the Cricut Cartridge - Sweet Treats
The leaves were cut and ran through the cuttlebug using distressed stiped.
Stamp - My Creative Time
Brads & Bling - Making memories

Friends stick together

Hi Everyone!
Our family sure had a tough week. Last Saturday we lost a very special man in our lives, my best friends father.  My BF and I have been friends since we were little girls. I've known the family for almost 30 years. He was so full of life and such a wonderful Dad. My family will miss him terribly but we are resting easy knowing he is with his wife (or as he called her his bride) now and no longer missing her.
SO with that, I have some catching up to do....Blog and home. I know I missed some awesome things over the week and I really have been wanting to say thank you to my sweet girls that gave me the Versatile Blogger award.
Jessica - Chick n Scrap

These girls are my daily inspiration and if you need a creative boost, click on the links and create away!
Jessica, Sherrie, Amy, THANK YOU so much I feel so honored that you recognized me :)

I started creating this card before last week and I finished it today. I really wanted to make something fun, springy & simple as I only had a little time. So here's my version of of a Peeps card.
The peeps were created using my gypsy and the doodlecharms cartridge. I  used the bunny face cut and a circle. I welded the circle to the bunny head and voila - PEEPS I hope you get the sentiment. Peeps are sticky..... get it :) You know something Peeps aren't very good, but my BF loves them and I bought her some and I'm giving her this card. I know she'll smile. We have a silly sense of humor.  I've been with her this last week just supporting and taking care of her. That's what friends do...they stick together!!!

Challenges:

Card - 4.25" x 5.5"
Cricut Cartridge - Doodlecharms

Reindeer Tags

Hi Everyone!

Wow, thank you for all the sweet comments, they are all so wonderful.
So, the women's dinner was sooo much fun! The guys did a fabulous job, the church looked AMAZING and oh my goodness the food was incredible! The gift exchange was so much fun!!! I ended up with three ornaments in the bag I received, someone was extra generous!

Well I am just trying to put the finishing touches on my decorating and even started wrapping presents when I realized I don't have the right color tags for some of my wrapping paper. So off I went....
Here is what I came up with. I had put the tags together and then saw a great idea over at my sweet friend Lisa's Blog.  She used a punch for the top and bottom of her tag. I had to try it. Also, that beautiful ribbon is from my dear friend Karen at little scrap pieces.  This ribbon is so fabulous!!! I can't say enough about it!! I LOVE it!
I'm entering these in a few challenges:

Whimsical designs - Christmas/ Winter - Include something sparkly (Embossed the punch with glitter powder)
Bitten by the Bug 2 Winter frolic tag - Of course if you don't have this cartridge, please feel free to join in and select any tag and Christmas image you have. I used TBBM

Tea for three!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! We were in San Diego visiting with family! We have a cousin who is playing on a Hockey team in Texas and had a tournament in San Diego this weekend so our whole family went to show our support! I have to say the team is AWESOME! They swept the entire tournament. Go Rhino's

My little group of friends always celebrate our birthdays with a lunch or dinner, it's just so nice to get together and eat and laugh.  I have a friend who's birthday is December 22nd and it's just so hard to get together around this time so we either do it early or late :( So last night I got this great idea with the help of the Simply Sunday  Challenge over at Getting Cricky. A tea party! I will just be three of us, the other two will be out of town :( So I came up with this shaped teapot card. I didn't want it to be too Christmas themed but still wanted it to be festive. I used some doodlebug paper that I won a while back from Paula at More than Favors, it's so pretty!

I am entering this in the Simply Sunday Challenge - It's tea time and the Wacky Wednesday Challenge - Buttons, Bling or Brads

Halloween Treat Box

Hi Everyone!

Wow, the days just zoom by..... our family is just so busy!
Here is a treat box that I created a while back and just managed to finish this morning.  I am entering this in a few challenges.  I used TBBM for the box and with my gypsy I inserted a circle and then placed the spiderweb inside the circle. I filled it with candy corn and topped it off with some ribbon, a button, and a cute little brad.
Have a GREAT day everyone!
