Happy Monday!

Thanks for joining us today for the Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!! This linky party theme is "Shaped Cards". Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is what I created....
Isn't this fun? The number came from Cricut Cartridge Sweet Treats. I made this card back in December and was eager to use anything other than Christmas colors :) I found this paper pad (Crate Paper - party days) on sale for 2.00 I bought 3 - well that's all they had.  Oh my gosh it's my favorite, so you'll be seeing it A LOT!

Die Cuttin Diva - Guest Diva

Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to share that I am Guest Diva today over at Die Cuttin Divas. Thank you Georgiana!
Today's theme for the DCD challenge is Penguins so I wanted to make something special for the occasion:) I have been so inspired lately and crafting almost every night :) My gypsy girl needs a rest!
I hope you have a chance to pop over to Die Cuttin Divas and join in the fun!

These two penguins were created using Number 8's from the George cartridge. The arms were a layer shape from Sweet treats welded to the body.

The inside (white) is created by using a heart balloon and regular balloon from CAC cartridge. I welded the two together. After that the card was SIMPLE. Hand cut snow hill for the penguins to slide down and some snowflakes and all done!
And of course who can forget their adorable Peachy faces!
Card - 5.5"
Paper - American Crafts

Mother's Day Gable Box

Hi Everyone!
Hope you had a fantastic weekend, ours was fabulous! I wanted to share a gable box I made for Mothers Day.  I found a pack of 3 gable boxes at Target in the dollar bins, super good quality for $1.  I made this for a friend of mine that is coming by tomorrow and I just wanted to give her a little something. I put a few baked goods and a gift card inside.
The one thing I wanted to share on this was the bow.... I have lots of satin ribbon which I love!! but sometimes I feel like it looks plain, so I tried stamping on it and it came out great! I used MS ink and a hero arts polka dot stamp.

Happy Mother's Day

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I wanted to post a Mother's Day card I made this week. I have one more Mother's day project to post and I think I'm actually ready for the day. That never happens I'm always making a last minute "something" on the day :)
So I mentioned that I purchased a few packs of My minds eye paper. The pack I used for my project is called rosy...LOVE IT! I loved it so much that I wanted the paper to be the center. The background paper is 7 gypsies and pairs so well with MME. I inked the "note" paper with Tim Holtz ink and distressed the edges.
I cut the flower using the Cricut Cartridge - Sweet Treats
The leaves were cut and ran through the cuttlebug using distressed stiped.
Stamp - My Creative Time
Brads & Bling - Making memories
Machine stitched

You're a Star

Hi Everyone!

Wow, so many great challenges this week.  I really wanted to play in the two "Sew" challenges because I love machine stitching on my projects. Card Cupids - Stitching real or faux & My Craft Spot - Sew much Fun. I also saw the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge - Wish upon a star and really wanted to make a star shaped card! Then I saw the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut ~ Use the color yellow and thought Blue and yellow is the perfect combo for my idea. So I used simply charmed for the star shape and sweet treats for the scallop border (its a layer for one of the cakes). My intention was to make this card for one of my son's friend but I just couldn't help myself with the ribbon and glitter.  So I'll save it for a girl. Well, hope you all have a great day! Enjoy!

Eat Cake

Hi Everyone!

Wow it's cold here! I'm staying inside today! Wow so many fun challenges lately.  I made a card that I will enter in three this week. It's a shaped card from the Sweet Treats cartridge. I ran it through the cuttlebug(swiss dots), stamped "eat cake", added a pretty little swirl from the Wild Card cartridge.  Of course stickles and my trusty white gel pen finish off the card.  One more thing, I tried inking the embossed dots on the card and I smeared it just a little. I still hope you like it!
Challenges:
COOKING WITH CRICUT - Swirls and Twirls
JITTERBUGGIN - Get in shape (Shaped Cards)
CELEBRATE THE OCCASION - "Anything Goes Birthday"

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Hi there!

Today is a perfect day for an ice cream.  According to my family any day is a good day for ice cream.  Here is a card with lots of pizzazz.  The ice cream cone is cut from the sweet treats cartridge and I used brown glitter glue on the top scoop and glossy accent on the cone. The ribbon is from Micheals, and the sentiment is from my collection of fonts on my computer.
Thanks for looking!

Scrappy Moms 1st Ever Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Birthday Bash!

Scrappy Moms Stamps is having a challenge.  The challenge is to use the Birthday Bash Cartridge, or if you don't have Birthday Bash you can use a similar cut from a different cartridge.  Well I don't have it, wish I did....  Here is what I created to enter.
The Cupcake is from the SweetTreats cartridge. I used a shadow around the cupcake that I made smaller using Gypsy.  I really like when the shadow is slightly larger than the image. Sometimes they look too large.  I couldn't find a cute stamp so I just printed this on my computer, and last but certainly not least I used stickles for the heart and cupcake frosting.
As always, thank you for looking!
