Die Cuttin Diva's - Ice Cream Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge! This week we are all about Ice Cream!! I'm sure once you see all the DT projects you'll be screaming for ice cream!

I have been really missing my peachy faces! So I just knew once I cut these fun little cones I would add some fun faces :)

I used a cut from the Cricut Simply charmed cartridge. I found some fun polka paper for the background and used some burlap for the cone.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time and goes perfectly with my little cones.

Hope you have some time to pop over to Die Cuttin Diva's and check out all the DT projects and join us for some ice cream FUN!

Little Scrap Pieces DT post - Shape Card

Hello,

How's everyone? Busy? Ready for the weekend? I hope by now you are all getting some nice weather. We have had some GORGEOUS days!

So this week at Little Scrap Pieces  our challenge is to create a shaped card. Now, I love a good shaped card but I can't always find a card cut that suits my interest, so I usually use my gypsy and just weld two images together. Exactly what I did for this project.  Recently, we had Teacher Appreciation week and I haven't shared all of the fun things we did so I thought I would share the little card I attached to one of the gifts for the week.

I welded two shadow cuts from Cricut Cartridge Simply Charmed

It's a small card - about 2.5 x 5

Paper - Scraps
Star Die - My Creative Time
Cuttlebug - Polka Dots
Sentiment - My creative Time
Ribbon - Little Scrap Pieces
Jute - Liz's paper Loft

I hope you will stop over and see all the fabulous DT projects and join us this week!

Hi Everyone!

Did you have a good week? I got so much accomplished. Do you ever look back at your week and think wow! How did we do all that? I guess it's better than the alternative :) I'm so exited for today of course because its  Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday and this weeks challenge is luck of the Irish. So get ready and link up all your crafty projects! I just wanted to add, that I really love looking at all the projects every week - you guys are terrific :)
I'm also excited for this evening because I'm having some friends over for game night.  I thought it would be fun to make some treats for the winners. So I created some fun treat bags with a St. Patrick's Day theme.
I started with the fun Cricut cut from paper doll dress up. I just cut it twice once in black and once in gold. I cut the coins off the black pot and used the gold paper then added glitter.
The banner is a die from Lil Inker Stamps and the sentiment is from My Creative Time

Irish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi Everyone!

How was your weekend? Anything fun? We had an incredibly busy but oh so fun weekend. So I have spent the last couple weeks using all my crafty time for a different type of craft. If you noticed I didn't post very much last week or the prior week - well here's why....

My son and his friends participated in the school variety show.  They were the T-birds and sang Grease Lightning. Oh my gosh it was soooo CUTE! See that car - that was done by my oh SOOOO talented hubby - Isn't it amazing. It's cardboard!!! It looks like a real car in this photo (sorry for the bad photo, it was dark and none of us could get a good shot) So by orders of the Mr (heehee) I painstakingly painted this  - (did I mention it's 7 feet long) for days and once it met his approval he added the details that would make the hot rod come to life!  Awesome memories were made:)

Well on to my card for the day
Oh I know there is supposed to be a pot a gold at the end of the rainbow, but I couldn't resist putting this adorable Leprechaun at the end:)
Cricut Cartridge - Simply Charmed
Paper - All scraps I think K&Co.
Face Stamp - Peach Keen Stamps PKSC-14
Sentiment Stamp & Shamrock Die - My Creative Time
I used my copics to colors his hair and face

You make school COOL!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your day so far!
I am working on projects for Teacher appreciation day. I have always given my boys teachers small gifts to show our appreciation for ALL their hard work. My youngest son says that his 2nd grade teacher makes school cool.  If you ask him about any subject  - "Do you like Science" his response, it's cool, he says his teacher makes it COOL! I think that's awesome, she is a GREAT teacher!
So the first item I'm sharing is a card for a couple of my favorite challenges:
My Craft Spot - Make it POP Use dimensionals
Peachy Keen Stamps - Anything Goes MUST use PKS
I think this little worm is my FAVORITE cut! I just love the PK face on him!

I layered him and popped him up HIGH :)
Card - 4.5"
Cricut Cartridge - Create a Critter & Simply Charmed
Paper - Recollections & Provo craft
Ink - Tim Holtz & MS

Patched of Pink Link Up time! Halloween Theme

Hi Everyone!

It's my favorite Thursday of the Month! It's Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is Halloween.  I really wanted to create a home décor item. I decided on creating blocks that I can display on a shelf.  I started with 3.5” blocks that my sweet hubby cut for me, and then adhered cardstock paper and letters.  I used fast finish decoupage to finish the blocks. I love the results but I will say that I had to redo the doodling as some of the lines made with the white gel pen turned yellow, next time I will just do the doodling last.  This is really a great product, it's tack free and the finish is really smooth!
I added a few little details that matched my theme and I really like how it turned out.

Please pop over to the Patches of Pink blog and have a look at the creations this week, They are sure to WOW you!
The letters were cut using the Blackletter Cricut Cartridge

This adorable little spider is from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge

This cute little bat is from the Simply charmed Cricut Cartridge

This is a paper rosette made for a .5 inch strip of DCWV paper.

Thank you for stopping by and please link up your Halloween project at Patches of Pink.

You're a Star

Hi Everyone!

Wow, so many great challenges this week.  I really wanted to play in the two "Sew" challenges because I love machine stitching on my projects. Card Cupids - Stitching real or faux & My Craft Spot - Sew much Fun. I also saw the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge - Wish upon a star and really wanted to make a star shaped card! Then I saw the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut ~ Use the color yellow and thought Blue and yellow is the perfect combo for my idea. So I used simply charmed for the star shape and sweet treats for the scallop border (its a layer for one of the cakes). My intention was to make this card for one of my son's friend but I just couldn't help myself with the ribbon and glitter.  So I'll save it for a girl. Well, hope you all have a great day! Enjoy!
