Little Scrap Pieces DT Post - Emboss it!

Hi Everyone!
Wow, what a week! So glad the weekend is here and yay it's time for Little Scrap Pieces FUN FRIDAY! This weeks challenge is a fun one - It's being sponsored by our very sweet DT sister Lisa.
The challenge is to add some embossing on your project - any type heat or dry. Have fun with it and please pop over and see what the fabulous DT created.

I created an Anniversary pillow/Gift box for my Aunt and Uncle. Their Anniversary was on Valentine's Day so sweet.
I chose to heat emboss, I love the effect and I think it can add a elegant touch.

The pillow box was cut from the Wrap it up Cartridge and using my Gypsy I hid the image so it would be a solid box.

I tried and TRIED to get a good picture but it was so hard :(

Ribbon - Little Scrap Pieces

Whoot Whoot...Celebrate

Hi Everyone!

Wow, Is it really Friday today? Where did this week go? I have had NO time this week to craft. So this card is actually from last weekend and I just added the final touches on it. I created this for a few challenges and I missed one :( Anyhow, I actually had a little inspiration for this card, it was from one of my SUPER talented bloggy friends. Miss Cindy from Cindy's Scraptastic Designs. Now I'm probably crazy creating a card using Cindy's design, because she is such an AMAZING crafter but I just loved this card (Click here to see it) Gorgeous right! I really wanted to create a card with a little owl in a tree. So here is mine! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz embossing plate Bricked & Woodgrain set to create the tree like background. I cut a shape in the middle using my gypsy. Can you guess what shape I used....it's an apple turned on it's side and stretched until I like the way it looked.

Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to My Paper Love and the Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party! I am very excited to be continuing as a DT member and look forward to working with the other continuing members and the new members. So let's get right to it... This months theme is Valentines Day. I really wanted to make something other than a card so I decided on a desk calendar. It was so simple to make and the best part was that I could add so much dimension and bling because it wasn't going in an envelope :) I designed the calendar as an Easel card which you can see a tutorial by Spitcoaststampers HERE
I used a frame cut from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge for the base of the Calendar.  I used my gypsy to hide and cut so I could have a shadow for the frame. I printed the dates on the smaller cut image and lastly, I added a flower made from a scallop punch along with some stickles that I just hand brushed all over the flower.

The printed paper is from K&Co and the other cardstock is from recollections. The hearts were scraps I found in my diecut drawer and they matched perfectly!
This was such a FUN project I think I'll make one each month, so check back so you can see what March will look like:)

I'm entering my calendar in a few challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Valentine's Day (must use a heart)
Die Cuttin Divas - Color Challenge The colors are red, pink, white, and black. Use at least two colors from the list provided.
Whimsical Designs - Colors of love (Red, White & One color of your choice)

Please stop over to see the fabulous projects that the DT members have created this month at PATCHES OF PINK  Come link up with us and make some new friends and see some fantastic crafts!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

Birthday Wishes - Masculine

Hi Everyone!
Wow, Is time going by at lighting speed or what? I can't believe an entire month has almost gone by. Well one good thing about that is it's bringing us closer to spring :)
I wanted to share a masculine card I made for all those GREAT challenges going on right now. Pretty simple except do you see the gold accents on the wheel? Well I probably should have used brads, but no... I took gold metallic paper and hole punched eight holes and covered them with glossy accents. Sounds easy right?? Well I kept forgetting about them and setting paper, or items down on top of these little hole punches. I think I ended up having to make 19 of them.  I had these sticky, gluey, glossy hole punches everywhere. I even left for basketball pictures this morning and when I got back in the car one was on my car seat? (Wonder where that hole punch was)? The funny stories of crafting that only other crafters would appreciate! Have a GREAT day!

Just wanted to share some party bags I made for my son's friend's birthday. His mom wanted something that went along with the theme. He had a game truck birthday, it was pretty cool. This huge trailer truck parks in front of your home and it is filled with flat screen TV's and every gaming system imaginable, hence the game controller for the party bag.  The kids had a blast!! I am entering this in Celebrate the Occasion challenge Kids Birthday & My Sheri Crafts - Party Decor.  Hope you come and join the fun! Have a great day!

Home Sweet Home!

Hi Everyone!

Thought I would share a card that I made a while ago for my Mom.  She sells real estate and I thought these cards were perfect to send her clients after they purchase a home.  I made one and had every intention of making a set... but you know how that goes. I saw the challenge over at CELEBRATE THE OCCASION - "New House" challenge. So I thought I would enter. The card is done using Create a critter. I put a little stickles on the flowers in the window and the sentiment is from my computer. I finished it off with the white gel pen, some ribbon, and a button. Hope you enjoy!
