Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to My Paper Love and the Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party! I am very excited to be continuing as a DT member and look forward to working with the other continuing members and the new members. So let's get right to it... This months theme is Valentines Day. I really wanted to make something other than a card so I decided on a desk calendar. It was so simple to make and the best part was that I could add so much dimension and bling because it wasn't going in an envelope :) I designed the calendar as an Easel card which you can see a tutorial by Spitcoaststampers HERE
I used a frame cut from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge for the base of the Calendar.  I used my gypsy to hide and cut so I could have a shadow for the frame. I printed the dates on the smaller cut image and lastly, I added a flower made from a scallop punch along with some stickles that I just hand brushed all over the flower.

The printed paper is from K&Co and the other cardstock is from recollections. The hearts were scraps I found in my diecut drawer and they matched perfectly!
This was such a FUN project I think I'll make one each month, so check back so you can see what March will look like:)

I'm entering my calendar in a few challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Valentine's Day (must use a heart)
Die Cuttin Divas - Color Challenge The colors are red, pink, white, and black. Use at least two colors from the list provided.
Whimsical Designs - Colors of love (Red, White & One color of your choice)

Please stop over to see the fabulous projects that the DT members have created this month at PATCHES OF PINK  Come link up with us and make some new friends and see some fantastic crafts!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

BEE Mine

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend! We have a three day weekend this week so we get to have a movie night with some of the neighbors.  It's always so hilarious how these 6 & 7 year olds say they are going to stay up soooo late, and every time we do this they are ALL asleep before the movie is over. Too Fun!
So last night I created a little card for a few challenges. Hope you enjoy:)

Sweet Valentine

Hi Everyone!
I'm a little excited to share this with you, it's one of my favorite things to do.  I don't ever really say how much I use my gypsy to create but I use it with EVERY project. I always try to create and re-create boxes, bags, and anything else my little head can think of :)
So here is a lollipop holder - I know there are plenty of these out there but I decided to create this with a hole in the center and a slit tab bottom. It's just a little more sturdy to hold up in a back pack full of goodies;)

Here is what it looks like cut and scored.
Here it is folded (Before)

Here it is folded (After)

The stamp is from My Creative Time along with the tag.
Paper - We R memory Keepers

I'm entering this in a few of the Valentine challenges.

Love Notes for my Sweetheart

Hi Everyone!
Hope you've all had a nice day. Ours has been cold and rainy but I was able to catch up on a lot here at home.
I was also able to make a card for a few challenges. I really LOVE MCT new Stamps they are so awesome! I've used them again on my card and heat embossed the "Script Type backgrounds" on the love notes. I used the Sketch from Mojo Monday # 227 for the design.  I also wanted to finish off my label with a glossy accent heart but it wasn't quite dry so it smudged :( I don't think my hubby will mind. Even though this card is VERY pink I think I can get away with it because it's Valentines Day:)
Challenges:
Little Scrap Pieces - Use Pink
Fantabulous Cricut - Love is in the Air, Use a Heart on your project
Paper Playtime - Cricut Creations Use a heart or Love theme
Mojo Monday - Sketch Challenge
Card - 5.5" x 4.25"
Cricut Cartridges - Gypsy Wanderings, & George
Paper - K&Co & Recollections
Ribbon - Celebrate it
Stamps - My Creative Time
Sentiment - Printed
