Hi Everyone!

I wanted a fun witty card but I also wanted something pretty...hey, just like her :)

Happy day to you....

Hi Everyone!
Happy day to you :) That's the title of my card I made for the Simply Crafts March Challenge. This month you are to make a project, any kind of project, using the kite cut from the Create a Critter cartridge (it is on the same key as the giraffe cut). If you don't have that cartridge any kite cut will do. I love these challenges they are always so FUN! Such a busy weekend and I'm exhausted. We had a HUGE fundraiser for my youngest sons school to raise money for some of the programs that are being neglected due to budget cuts. We had an Adult Casino Night.  It sure was a lot of fun and although I helped with silent auctions and various things during the evening there was still some time to DANCE!! We had a GREAT time!
So here is my card.
I'm not sure the maker of this paper but I just loved the bright colors. I guess I was in the mood for color because it's been overcast and rainy here, except today windy BUT Sunny.

March - Card/Desk Calendar

Hi Everyone!
Hope your week is going well. We took a day off this week and went down south to San Diego to visit my family.  We had a nice visit and my niece is just growing so fast she's already 9 months. She is so precious!
So if you remember last month I made a desk calendar you can see that post HERE. I made it by using an easel card as the base for the calendar and I really liked it so I decided to make one for every month. So this is my card/calendar for March, of course I had to use a St. Patrick's day theme and of course I'm entering it in many challenges as most of them this week are St. Patrick's Day themed or use green - well I definitely used BOTH :)

Both of these adorable cuts came from the paper doll dress up cricut cartridge.

All of the paper is from my scrap drawer (yay!!) Except the card base it's coredinations

Card/Calendar - 6"
Cricut Cartridges - PDDU & Storybook(calendar label)
Ink - Martha Stewart
Ribbon - Celebrate it & The Twinery
Machine Stitched
Stickles
Sentiment & Calendar are printed
Challenges:

Whew...that's a lot of challenges, I really encourage you to stop over at these blogs and check out all of their  inspiration!! The DT's projects are so awesome and every week it just seems to get BETTER & BETTER!!!
ENJOY your day!

Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to My Paper Love and the Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party! I am very excited to be continuing as a DT member and look forward to working with the other continuing members and the new members. So let's get right to it... This months theme is Valentines Day. I really wanted to make something other than a card so I decided on a desk calendar. It was so simple to make and the best part was that I could add so much dimension and bling because it wasn't going in an envelope :) I designed the calendar as an Easel card which you can see a tutorial by Spitcoaststampers HERE
I used a frame cut from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge for the base of the Calendar.  I used my gypsy to hide and cut so I could have a shadow for the frame. I printed the dates on the smaller cut image and lastly, I added a flower made from a scallop punch along with some stickles that I just hand brushed all over the flower.

The printed paper is from K&Co and the other cardstock is from recollections. The hearts were scraps I found in my diecut drawer and they matched perfectly!
This was such a FUN project I think I'll make one each month, so check back so you can see what March will look like:)

I'm entering my calendar in a few challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Valentine's Day (must use a heart)
Die Cuttin Divas - Color Challenge The colors are red, pink, white, and black. Use at least two colors from the list provided.
Whimsical Designs - Colors of love (Red, White & One color of your choice)

Please stop over to see the fabulous projects that the DT members have created this month at PATCHES OF PINK  Come link up with us and make some new friends and see some fantastic crafts!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

Happy New Year

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is well! Let me just say I promise this card looks so much better in person.  I just couldn't get the lighting right, oh well. So, I really wanted to create a card with a clock. I looked and looked through my handbooks and just couldn't find on that suited me. So I decided to use clipart.  I just printed this clock on kraft paper and then cut it out with a circle punch. Hope you like it!

Christmas is love...

Hi Everyone!

Every year our church holds a women's dinner. It's so much fun, we get all dressed up and the men of our church cook, serve and (the best part) clean up. We also do a gift exchange of an ornament.  I created a pillow box for my ornament.  I created the box using the Cricut Cartridge Wrap it up and just hid the image on the box.  I really had to stretch the box so it would fit the very large ornament. Sometimes when creating boxes and bags it gets a little tricky re-sizing, but I'm happy to say that when re-sizing pillow boxes they come out perfect! I cut a cute label from the Cricut Cartridge Storybook and Stamped the sentiments from Stampin Up which I purchased from Nikki

Christmas in July - My Craft Spot

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been a super busy week and I just haven't been in my craft room at all. :( It looks like next week will be the same. I work 4 days next week (12 hour days) But after that it will be back to normal.  Wish I could spend all the extra money on my little hobby but we need to purchase a new fence for the backyard , ours is falling down and feels like paper instead of wood. Oh well on to the challenge.  My Craft Spot is having a Christmas in July challenge.  My little card was actually something I used to decorate plain kraft boxes.  I placed this little card in the middle of the box and made the card on top of the red scallop frame open so I could write a little christmas message inside.  Great alternative if you can't find the perfect bow! Hope you enjoy!

Flower Shaped Card

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

I made this card just to keep in my greeting card box.  (I will have to show everyone this sometime ;)  I used a flower from the storybook cartridge and the goldfish bowl from create a critter.  I just stretched it using my gypsy.  I love the way it came out. I added a flower and a happy brad. I also inked the card to tint the color of the green cardstock and added final touches with the white gel pen.

Puppy Love! Scrappy Mom Stamps "Sweethearts" Challenge

Hi Everyone!

Today has been a great day so far.  Spent the morning with my hunny, we tried a new restaurant. One from Diner, Drive-ins, and dives.  (We love guy)  It was so yummy!

Scrappy Mom Stamps is having their Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This time they want us to use Sweethearts. If you don't own this cartridge you can use a similar cut.  I used Doodlecharms.  I welded two cuts of the puppy at 4 inches and used my gypsy to find the right spot for the heart over his eye.  I then cut a heart from the George cartridge and cut a hole in it for the eye.  I cut a scalloped square using Storybook, placed the puppy on it and the puppy face lifts up and you can write the sentiment inside.

Thank you for looking!
