Friends stick together

Hi Everyone!
Our family sure had a tough week. Last Saturday we lost a very special man in our lives, my best friends father.  My BF and I have been friends since we were little girls. I've known the family for almost 30 years. He was so full of life and such a wonderful Dad. My family will miss him terribly but we are resting easy knowing he is with his wife (or as he called her his bride) now and no longer missing her.
SO with that, I have some catching up to do....Blog and home. I know I missed some awesome things over the week and I really have been wanting to say thank you to my sweet girls that gave me the Versatile Blogger award.

Jessica, Sherrie, Amy, THANK YOU so much I feel so honored that you recognized me :)

I started creating this card before last week and I finished it today. I really wanted to make something fun, springy & simple as I only had a little time. So here's my version of of a Peeps card.
The peeps were created using my gypsy and the doodlecharms cartridge. I  used the bunny face cut and a circle. I welded the circle to the bunny head and voila - PEEPS I hope you get the sentiment. Peeps are sticky..... get it :) You know something Peeps aren't very good, but my BF loves them and I bought her some and I'm giving her this card. I know she'll smile. We have a silly sense of humor.  I've been with her this last week just supporting and taking care of her. That's what friends do...they stick together!!!

Challenges:

Card - 4.25" x 5.5"
Cricut Cartridge - Doodlecharms
Ribbon - Little Scrap Pieces
Paper - Scraps
Ink - Martha Stewart
Glitter Glue
Sentiment - Printed

I love everything about this card. The colors, the beautiful peeps, the heartfelt inspiration... but you know what, my sweet friend? I mostly love your gorgeous heart. I saw this post a while before I could leave a proper comment and instantly went into "what can I do to bring an extra smile to my friend's heart" mode...

And so, I am ruining a tiny surprise by telling you that a little card will be coming your way in the next week. I know how hard it is not only to lose a steadfast presence, but also how impossibly hard it is to watch a dear friend deal with such heartache. I couldn't help but think up a little something for you. **extra sparkly hugs**

Hugs and blessings!

I am so, so sorry for your loss, Shelly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend's family. Sometimes the only thing that makes it easier is knowing they are reuniting with a loved one in Heaven.

This card is so sweet and adorable!! I love how you created the Peeps...so creative and fabulous!! And the sentiment is perfect!! I'm sure your friend loved it and will cherish it :)

I am home from my trip...a bit injured. I was playing with my niece in the ocean, holding her hand as we jumped the waves. I didn't realize it at the time but all that tugging on my arm tore something in my shoulder :( So I'm icing it like crazy and popping anti-inflammatory pills while I type one-handed. I just had to stop by and see your amazing projects I've missed while I was gone...so I apologize for the flood of comments :)
