Die Cuttin' Diva's - Animals

Hello There!

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a fun challenge all about animals. I'm sure a lot of you are working on Easter projects so come show off your Bunnies or any animal project with a die cut.

I went in a completely different direction. I found this cute hedgehog that I cut a VERY long time ago and I am determined to use things I have. I'm doing great so far.

So I added a cute peachy face (also a stamp set I haven't used) and added this little sweet little hedgehog to a circle die cut. I used a CDD sentiment that was perfect for this little sweetie.

I used some fun paper and some Orangesicle-Trendy-Twine to complete my card!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Hugs and kisses

Happy Valentine's day!

Welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week it's all about PinkRed, and/or Purple. Come on over and show us your sweet projects and don't forget to include a die cut. Wow, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, the sun is out and I actually can feel the warm rays. Sorry to everyone enduring the cold, rain and snow :(

I went with pink, pink and more pink :) I used a MCT die and I tried something new to me. I placed the die cuts on the paper and then I ran it through my cuttlebug and it gave the paper an embossed look and feel. It looks really neat because it flattened the die cut and gave the paper a little texture which you can't see in the photo. Also it did spread the glue about which you can see in the picture :(

I added a bit of pink ink to highlight the inner hearts and them added my sentiment.

Trendy Twine - Love Day

Hi There!

I'm over on the Trendy blog with a Valentine card using some gorgeous Totally Raspberry . I always make a few cards for Valentine's day and usually they are for my boys so I try to not use a ton of pink & red.
Although, I did use a great big pink heart with some Totally Raspberry :) HAHA!
Oh my gosh, Totally Raspberry is such a pretty pink I just couldn't resist.
I die cut a pink heart and then I die cut a smaller heart in the center and just lined the small heart with twine.
For the sentiment I used two stamp sets Documenting-the-Everyday-Stamp-Set & Smile-Stamp-Set and simply stamped the sentiment off center.

I hope everyone has a GREAT Valentine's day!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch challenge

Hello There!

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week is our monthly sketch. I wanted to make a card with a bunch of items I have had but haven't used yet. I really need to get better at using what I have.

I started with some Gina Marie dies, which are awesome and so reasonably priced!  The squares and the rose are both from Gina Marie. The paper is from we are memory keepers. I flipped the sketch so that I could use my precut cards. Do you precut your card bases? I sat one night and precut over 100 card bases and lots of card mats so I have them on hand for quick use.

Here's the sketch for the week

I added a sentiment from MCT Pretty-Spring-Wreaths-Stamp-Set and I used some distress gold glitter from Ranger.
