Craftin Desert Divas Simply Said Stamp Set

Hi Everyone!

I'm sharing a card from one of the newest Craftin Desert Divas stamp sets called Simply Said. Wow, this is a must have for your stamp collection, it has some gorgeous fonts. I have showcased two sentiments, Just for You HERE & Congrats HERE. Today I'm showcasing Happy Birthday.

I just had to make another shaker... I just think shaker cards scream party :) This time I used a die cut instead of a square or circle... A little trickier but I will say using sequins is MUCH easier:) So it's pretty simple once you get the shaker done.  I always stamp first, layer next. Look at this stamp - AWESOME every time.

Oh I thought I would take a second and answer a few questions I have received. On ALL of my projects using black ink they are stamped with Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black.  My opinion is that it's the best ink and lasts the longest too :) Next question I get a lot is about my pictures....I wish I had some secret or trick for you but reality is that I live in southern California so the majority of our days are sunny and I shoot my pics on my front porch using indirect light. However, there is one tip I can give you... I recently discovered picmonkey it's a free photo editing program and some of the girls from my CDD DT suggested it and well I tried it and it's pretty easy and gives some pretty cool results.

All paper is American Crafts
Sequins are from Micheals

Stop by Craftin Desert Diva's Shop to purchase the newest release and don't forget to join the
CDD Gallery - We'd love you to share your projects using the CDD stamps.

Have a SUPER DAY!

Here's my project I created:
I created a little gift set. Note cards and a little gable box to hold them.

I started with the Tags Bags Boxes and more 2 Cricut Cartridge and created a gable box measuring about 4" (finished size) I stamped the sentiment on an oval label using the "Simply Said" set and embossed using detail white embossing powder. Wow, did it turn out GREAT!

The note cards are approx 2.75 x 3.25. Again I stamped the sentiment from the "Simply Said" set. Isn't this font pretty!

Look at this crisp stamp

All of the new stamps are 4x6 and Made in the USA.
Stamps will be available to order on Sunday.

Die Cuttin Divas - Earth Day: Use Something Recycled

Hi Everyone!
Happy Tuesday! I'ts time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. Today's theme is

           Earth Day: Use Something Recycled
I'm pretty sure if you're a crafter you've held on to a few things, a bottle, jar, bag, ribbon, tape, buttons. I know you've got something :) Well, get it out and use it along with a die cut and come join the fun! The DT projects are so creative. I love them all, did you see Laura's card. She used a handle from a old gift bag to create a jump rope! SUPER CUTE!
I have had this Tea canister for a REALLY long time. My hubs received it as a gift from a business client and once the tea was gone I figured I could use it for something :)
Obviously by looking at this you can see it's a SUPER simple project that you could just decorate clean and simple or go wild....

I used orange light weight paper and measured and cut accordingly.  I placed dry adhesive on the paper and wrapped the tea canister. I suggest when wrapping anything to use light weight paper and dry adhesive. I started with the complete opposite  - cardstock and liquid and it bubbled and rippled.
Next is the fun part.... I am using this as a storage container for my craft room so I kept it CAS. I used a Chevron Die from Scrappy Mom Stamps and some yummy Orangesicle Trendy Twine. This is a great technique to use on peanut, popcorn, pringles cans, etc...

Please pop over and link up with us this week, we would love to have you!

Have a GREAT Day!

When I saw the inspiration photo I just LOVED all the bright colors, and was VERY happy to create a fun little card using some of these pretty colors.
I came across this snail cut on the Live Simply Cricut Cartridge and thought it went perfectly with the Craftin desert divas "Punny set"

Punny

All the paper is from Die Cute with a view.

I finished off the snail with a CUTE little face from peachy keen stamps kit of the month June 2013 PKSC-18  Trendy Twine - Strawberry Cupcake

Happy Easter - Trendy Twine Style :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

I sure hope you are off to an amazing day, I know we sure have a FABULOUS day planned starting with the best service of the year at church and a pancake breakfast made and served by our beautiful youth group :)

So here in bloggy world my day started pretty great too, take a look at these....
Carrot toppers with Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine & Orangesicle Trendy Twine. Okay so I bought these cupcakes at a local cupcake shop Babycakes. Isn't that frosting perfect :) The ones I make for Easter will be handmade and I can assure you will not look like this :)
I saw this idea on pinterest so it's mot mine but I just fell in love and had to try it using twine instead of paper :) I used two 12" x 1/2" strips of paper and glued them together so that the polka dots would show on both sides. Obvious you can omit that step if you have double sided paper and like the pattern on the opposite side. Next, grab a lollipop stick and  place some adhesive at one end (Bottom), and wrap the polka dot paper tightly around the lollipop stick. You can let go of it as it will stay put until you adhere it to the top.  Next I adhered strips of twine to the other side of the stick(top) going around the stick and even overlapping until I felt I had enough - I think I used 20 strips. Next, grab the polka dot paper and gently wrap it around the top of the stick either over the twine or just barely under like I did. The paper with naturally curl around and you may need to pull it just a bit to get the carrot look.

Lastly, I added the Orangesicle Trendy Twine attached a Lil inker design tag and a MCT sentiment and there you have an adorable Carrot topper :)

Don't forget I still have a giveaway HERE for some Trendy Twine and would LOVE for you to check it out!

Die Cuttin Divas "Color" Challenge - Pastels

Hi Everyone!
Happy Tuesday! I'ts time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. Today's theme is a color challenge - Pastels. So get ready to show us your pastels.... Easter, baby, girly, Mothers day projects are all perfect for this theme. Just use a die cut and let us know which one you used. So I'm going to be honest.... I made this a long time ago and I wish I wrote down the details but I didn't.

I think I used the Cricut Cartridge Doodlecharms and cut the basket.  I do know that I used a weaving method for the actual basket. Just the basic over/under method.

I added some fun Easter eggs that my little boy decorated.  We actually cut about 40 eggs because we were going to create a tiny banner for the Easter table but never finished it :( SO I just used some of the eggs for this project.
Tag & Sentiment - Teeny-Tag-Greetings-Stamp-Set
Machine stitched
Easter grass - its the green cellophane kind :)

Please pop over and link up with us this week, we would love to have you!

Hi Everyone!

So, did you catch my post title??? Yep, I'm so excited to finally say that I'm on the Trendy Twine Design team!! Wow, I'm just thrilled...these ladies are really fantastic, super talented, and A LOT of fun :) Thank you again Lesley for giving me this opportunity!

This month the team is spotlighting two AWESOME colors
These colors are PERFECT for Easter and spring.  I even think of ice cream and cupcakes too :) Yummy! Pop over to the Trendy Twine Blog and see what these amazing gals have for you!

We also have a really fun challenge Spring has Sprung
The challenge details
(1) Easter or floral theme
(2)  Stitching - real (including machine stitch) or faux (pen, ink, etc.)
(3)  Trendy Twine
**If you do not have Trendy Twine, use hemp, jute,
embroidery thread, or yarn only; NO ribbon
(no other brands of bakers twine)**
Deadline is 11:59 p.m. central time, Friday, April 25th.
Project must be new for the challenge.

Before I get to my project, in honor of my big news I'm having a little giveaway for a Bubblegum Taffy Mini Set of Trendy Twine.  All you have to do is leave me a comment here, be a follower of mine and be a follower of the Trendy Twine Blog HERE.

Let me get to my project..... to showcase this awesome TWINE I really wanted to use some of the fabulous treat boxes found in the Boutique HERE.  These boxes are so awesome, perfect for any candy treat!
I filled up these boxes with color coordinated candies :) (Everyone takes their twine to the candy store to pick just the right color - right?????) I then tied the boxes with Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine and added a cute little MCT stitched tag. Stamped with a PKS bunny from the SKOTM PKSC27

This box is 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 and fit quite a few larger candies.

This is a mini box 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 I used a metal rim tag and just added a MCT stitched circle die and tied it off with more  Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine.

I sure hope you like my project today and hope to see you join the Spring has Sprung challenge.
