So I'll admit I'm a little plain or simple when it comes to cards - Rectangle or square is it for me...maybe I'll go a little wild and make a circle card but that's about it :) I LOVE shaped cards I did used to make some but it's been a while. So I created something I thought was pretty cool. I know I saw it somewhere but just can't remember... Although it's very easy to make.
I made a file folder card! I actually used a file folder as a template and just sized it to fit my card.
I used a die cut for the note pad paper and a die cut for the speech bubble.
I thought this would be a cute card to send to my son's teacher.
Speech Bubble - Sizzix
Note pad die - My Creative Time
Paper - Basic Grey, recollections
Stamps - My Creative Time & Teacher

Happy Valentines Day Trendy Style!
Hi there!
Happy Valentines Day! Have you had a chance to stop by the Trendy Twine Blog this morning? Our Design team played Valentine Secret Cupid this year. Names were assigned to us and no one knew who had who. Then we designed a card or tag and sent along a little treat to our assigned DT sister to make her Valentine's Day a bit more happy :) Today we are sharing our projects with you.
My Valentine was the sweet and talented Jessica. If you have followed her for a while then you know she loves her sweet chicks...so honestly her gift was completely inspired by her babies :)
I started by making a cute little chicken tag from a heart. I found some chicken wire paper and used that for the front of the heart tag using my explore. I turned the heart upside down and added heart wings and a heart comb. I added some glossy accents to the eyes and beak.
I attached the chicken tag to a candle holder that I found in a little country store, I just about screamed, it's a chicken wire base with a glass holder and I thought that was PERFECT!!! Its a candle holder but I thought filling it with candy was way more YUMMY!! I used some Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine and my gift was complete! I sure hope you like it Jessica.

Pretty simple card made with an old MME stack and some sweet love birds cut from an old Cricut cartridge Wild card.
I changed the wings to hearts to give it even more LOVE and added glossy accents to both wings, the eyes & the die cut heart above. Finally stamped the curly mat with a sentiment from Peachy Keen. A very simple Valentine card for your LOVE:)

Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party - Red, White, & Pink
Happy Monday!
This week we have some fabulous sponsors.
One Free Stamp
$25 gift Card
This week I'm sharing a FUN Valentine shaker card :)
I LOVE a shaker card! This one was so simple! I used some fun embossed MS paper and then just die cut a heart in the bottom right corner. Some of you have been asking for tutorials and I use this tutorial HERE. You can apply the basic principles to any shapes and sizes. Also, instead of using the foam tape you can build up the card with just plain card stock that will prevent the glitter or sequins from sticking to the sides.
I backed the heart with some pattern paper and stamped with "XOXO" from CDD - Simply Said
I added some silver, pink and white sequins to give the card the perfect amount of Valentine sparkle :)

I wanted to make a box that I can use for male or female. Also, for any occasion that's HAPPY! So the Limeade Trendy Twine is perfect! I went with a very clean and simple look. White background and let the green be the star :) Added some fun balloon die cuts and a Happy die cut.

Die Cuttin Divas Sketch Challenge - Happy Birthday!
Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge! This week we have a VERY cool sketch to share. I LOVE our sketch challenges. With a sketch you can design exactly like the sketch or get a little creative, which I LOVE to do! So you'll see I changed it up a bit but still followed the basic sketch.
I added a fun scallop and circle die using vellum and white card stock. I sewed the edges with navy thread to tie it all together! Oh and I got out my corner rounder :) I've been using it lately, I think I'm falling back in love with it :) Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

I decided to flip the sketch on it's side. I used some scraps from a Simple stories 6x6 paper pad, which is one of my favorites! I die cut banner flags in 3 sizes.
