Oh I miss my craft room.  But I'm in the home stretch... Only two more days of work and then we are off to get some R&R with some friends for the weekend.  Here is a card I created as a thank you, It's a tiny little card with matching envelope.  Every summer we paint wooden birdhouses and hang them outside, so I saw the Cricut 360 Outdoors Challenge  and thought well that might work & I also wanted to enter  Amber's Crafts and Stuff challenge - patterned paper.  Hope you all enjoy and have a lovely week/weekend! :)

I have a SUPER simple card that I created without my cricut (gasp). I also won a giveaway over at Cricut Diaries.  Go over and check out their blog.  Don't miss the birthday card from 6/10. The cake on the card is so cute!!  Thank you Jennifer & Summer, you girls are adorable!!

Christmas in July - My Craft Spot

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been a super busy week and I just haven't been in my craft room at all. :( It looks like next week will be the same. I work 4 days next week (12 hour days) But after that it will be back to normal.  Wish I could spend all the extra money on my little hobby but we need to purchase a new fence for the backyard , ours is falling down and feels like paper instead of wood. Oh well on to the challenge.  My Craft Spot is having a Christmas in July challenge.  My little card was actually something I used to decorate plain kraft boxes.  I placed this little card in the middle of the box and made the card on top of the red scallop frame open so I could write a little christmas message inside.  Great alternative if you can't find the perfect bow! Hope you enjoy!

Hope you are having beautiful weather and enjoying your weekend! We just got home from our oldest boy's baseball game and got beat 8-2.  Bummer... but at least it was sunny and we had a great breeze blowing.  Perfect weather for a game :) Certainly not what you think of when you look at my card:) I really wanted to participate in some of the awesome challenges this week.  This is probably one of my very favorite color combos, it just makes me think of the Holiday's. I have been inspired by the many fabulous entries for the Let's go camping challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut.  I put this card together and it just didn't look right.  I added a moon and glossy accents to the flame and stickles to the fire and it's amazing how those simple things change a project!  Hope you enjoy!

I saw two challenges that I really wanted to enter.  First one is Cricut Cardz Challenge - Make a card with summer apparel or an accessory, using any cartridge and colors you'd like. If you follow my blog then you know I love summer and the beach!!! Second, Peachy Keen Stamps lets-face-it-friday - The challenge is patterned products. Whether it's paper, creating your own pattern, or repeating elements. Boy do I love patterned paper!! I just can't get enough of it! I sure hope you enjoy my card. I can't stop singing she wore an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, yellow polka dot bikini.....

Summer Days

Hi Everyone!

Wow, what a week!  We have been so busy, summer is definitely here. Our holiday was a blast, every 4th of July we spend the day at the beach. We live close so we run home after a VERY sandy day and clean up and come back down for the fireworks show.  One of our favorite parts of the day is sunset when all of the sailboats are sailing and the sun begins to disappear it's just too beautiful for words! Well I guess I had that image on my brain when I came up with this card.... Although, Not even close to our beautiful scene on the 4th. Hope you enjoy!
