Wow, can you believe we are about to celebrate Mother's Day....how can it be May already??? And to top it off Thurs. my little boy, my baby, is turning 10......how did that happen??? phew...time flies :(
Well, we are certainly in mothers day mode over at Craftin Desert Divas, make sure you stop over for some fabulous inspiration! I just love how diverse our creative team is, you get to see every style and design from CAS, traditional, playful, trendy, shabby chic, etc.... I think we cover it all :) So today I'm sharing a playful card with you.

I just love yellow and grey together, so I thought of the this card for my mom.  She is an avid gardener and LOVES flowers. I sure wish she passed down the green thumb :(
I added a cute little tag and stamped it with "Love you" from the newest release "Simply Said"

Simply Said

and added some YUMMY Twine Lemon Tart Trendy Twine and finished it off with a few rhinestones and two little Skittles to represent water drops.

Again look at that great stamp.... It's really awesome!
Don't forget... if you purchased a set from CDD, please make a project and enter the challenge or join the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery and show us your creation!

I sure couldn't forget about Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday! I hope you will join us for this challenge it's an easy one - Flowers. Just use a flower on your project and link up with us! I chose something Clean and simple
I cut the card and flowers using my gypsy. The flowers are from Walk in my garden and I used one of the card cuts. I just placed the flowers in a random pattern on the card and cut!

Next I added fun pattern paper in the colors of the rainbow because I saw Miss Cassandra's awesome challenge over at My Creative Time and I LOVE this theme! Lastly I added the perfect sentiment from the MCT Color me happy stamps.

Thank you - Sunflower

Hi Everyone!

I didn't realize that the My time to craft challenge ends tomorrow(I think). The challenge is called In Full Bloom.  I have a ton of thank you cards to send to all of my wonderful friends and family for my birthday. Well here is one special thank you created for this challenge! I know this is not my usual type of card but I'm not sure why I lean toward this style when creating Thank you's.... Anyway, I think this just may be my favorite card since I've started my blog! I used Walk in my garden (sunflower) and sized each flower smaller than the last  using my gypsy. I added pop dots in between each layer to give dimension.  I used brown and black glitter (mixed) for the seed head. I inked and inked :) the edges of the petals and added some ribbon(also inked) and a cute little sentiment. I hope you all have enjoyed the Labor Day weekend!

Card – 5.5” x 4.25”
Cartridges –  Walk in my garden
Paper – DCWV
Ribbon – Celebrate it
Ink – Tim Holtz, Colorbox
Sentiment - Printed

With Love - Garden Card

Hi Everyone!

Happy Sunday! It has been a wonderful day despite our overcast weather.  We headed off to Church this morning and then we all went to breakfast.  Now, the boys are out riding bikes.  Mommy gets to do laundry and make a quick card :) I really wanted to participate in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.  This week it's all about Bugs....  Also, the challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas looked so fun! So I combined the two, and came up with this.  I love being in the garden, although I could do without the bugs.  I created this in my gypsy using Walk in my garden.  Hope you enjoy!

Card - 4.75" x 6.5"
Cartridge - Walk in my garden
Paper - Recollections, Pressed Petals
Ribbon - Celebrate it

Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop - It's Chillin time

Hi Everyone and welcome to My Paper Love and BugBites first ever Bug Hop, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop! To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops. This weekend it is all about the Chillin’, June 4-6.
If you've come from visiting Kim’s at http://uscrap2.blogspot.com/, you're in the right place! If you just stumbled across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning. Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.
But, there’s a twist. Your project must include at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.
While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!
I am so excited and honored to be part of this HOP. Here is what I came up with. When I think of chillin the first thing that comes to mind is something cool to drink. So here’s a tall glass of lemonade!
5.5" x 5.5" Card
Cartridges - Simply Charmed & Walk in my garden
Paper - Recollections & Bazzill
Paper Edger - Martha Stewart
Ribbon threads from my collections
Sentiment - Printed on my computer
