Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to My Paper Love and the Patches of Pink Design Team Link UP Party! This month the theme is BABY!

I hope you will join us and create a project using the theme.
I created a card that I'm sure to use. I've seen these "Dresser" cards once or twice on the internet and always thought they looked too difficult but to my surprise it was quite easy. I had some help from my gypsy to size everything and line it all up.
For the bottom of the dresser I used a top note cut to make the it look like a piece of furniture. The top 3 drawers are approx 1" squares.

All of the cuts are from the Cricut Cartridge New Arrival
Card - Approx 5.5" x 4.25"
The handles are hole punched pieces of paper with glossy accent on them.
Paper - Making Memories(I've had it forever)

I really hope you come over to Patches of Pink and see all the FABULOUS DT projects and link up with us.

I'm entering this card in Shopping our stash - Starts with a "b" Challenge.

Patches of Pink Design Team Post and link up party

Hi Everyone!

Well guess what time it is.....It's time for Patches of Pink Design Team Post and link up party.  This month the designers were asked to create something with a Christmas theme.
Today I have an ornament to share with you. I created this little snowman using my Gypsy and the Cricut cartridge Doodlecharms. I cut two snowmen at 5.5" and stamped the outside with the most adorable Peachy Keen Face stamp PK-485. Next I stitched the two together leaving the bottom open and stuffed him with some cotton. I glued on his hat and glued in the ornament string between the hat and snowman and then added a scarf. The scarf was actually cut from my son's flannel shirt that he grew out of :) I used some buttons and added some stickles to them.  Just a tip if you want to make one of these , stitch in the ornament string when stitching the two pieces together. I think it would look better, mine looks a tad bulky at bottom of the hat.

Side view, so you can see how puffy he is:)
Please stop by and look at all of the fabulous design team projects and then link up your Christmas creation to share your project with us.

Hello Everyone,

It's time for Patches of Pink Design Team Post and link up party.  The designers were asked to use a Thanksgiving theme for our projects.  So for my project I chose to make place cards for our Thanksgiving table.  I know... I already made some pumpkin place cards but my Aunt really liked them and I gave them to her. So I needed to make another set. I came up with these fun little cards. Please stop over to Patches of pink and see what the design team has created, I'm sure they are fabulous! Also, don't forget to link up your project and share your creation with us.
These cards are 2" x 3.5"
The pilgrim girl was cut from the Cricut Cartridge PDDU and stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps PK-754. Mom was cut from the Jubilee Cartridge.
The pilgrim boy was cut from the Cricut Cartridge PDDU and stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps PK-754. Dad was cut from the Jubilee Cartridge.

The acorn was cut from the Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter and Anthony was cut from the Jubilee Cartridge.
The Leaf was cut from the Cricut Cartridge Doodlecharms and Andon was cut from the Jubilee Cartridge.

Patched of Pink Link Up time! Halloween Theme

Hi Everyone!

It's my favorite Thursday of the Month! It's Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is Halloween.  I really wanted to create a home décor item. I decided on creating blocks that I can display on a shelf.  I started with 3.5” blocks that my sweet hubby cut for me, and then adhered cardstock paper and letters.  I used fast finish decoupage to finish the blocks. I love the results but I will say that I had to redo the doodling as some of the lines made with the white gel pen turned yellow, next time I will just do the doodling last.  This is really a great product, it's tack free and the finish is really smooth!
I added a few little details that matched my theme and I really like how it turned out.

Please pop over to the Patches of Pink blog and have a look at the creations this week, They are sure to WOW you!
The letters were cut using the Blackletter Cricut Cartridge

This adorable little spider is from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge

This cute little bat is from the Simply charmed Cricut Cartridge

This is a paper rosette made for a .5 inch strip of DCWV paper.

Thank you for stopping by and please link up your Halloween project at Patches of Pink.

Patches of Pink Link Up Time - Fall

Hi Everyone!

Today is Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is fall, perfect timing since it’s just a few weeks away.  Although you couldn’t tell by the weather we are having here near the beaches.  I decided to create a project that we could use for the Thanksgiving table.  There is one thing you can count on in my family is a perfectly decorated table, my Aunties have amazing centerpieces! I'm still working on mine, the picture shows a peek of mine with my fall decor and my zebra runner(hee-hee). I came up with “Pumpkin place cards” These were so simple and can be done as simply or as ornate as you would like.  I saw the idea using fabric in a sewing magazine. Being that our family Thanksgiving is well over 40 people, I needed something simple.  It was so simple, I may even do a little something different for the kids table.  I know my fellow DT members have created some amazing projects so please stop over and take a look at the FABULOUS DT projects and link up yours too. Hope everyone has a great day!

I used a 2.5" scallop punch to create the pumpkin base. I cut 8 scallops and folded in half and adhered to each other. Before you adhere all shapes decide where your center is and add your stem and leaves.

I cut a leaf from doodlecharms and the stem is just cut with decorative scissors. I used a pencil to curl 2 strips of green paper and tied with kitchen twine.

I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Antique linen and used my white pen to add the name. You may need a bigger leaf for longer names as I cut the leaf at 1" and it was a little small.

Thank you for stopping by and please link up your fall project at Patches of Pink.
