Mickey sending Love

Hi Everyone!

Here is a card that looks simple but oh my! The Mickey and friends cartridge is a little trickier than I thought. I think I've got the hang of it now.  I used the Mouse ears and made a shaped card and then added a heart to the back of Mickey so it looks like he's holding it behind him. I printed "love" on the heart and used glossy accent. Of course a little stickles and there you go. I love Mickey Mouse. I thought I would enter this card in a couple challenges.

Fantabulous Cricut is having a Share the Love challenge. Use one cricut cut and the word love.

PaperPlaytime is having a challenge to use cupid or hearts on your project.

Birthday Cake - Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge Simply Charmed

Hi Everyone!

It's time for Scrappy Mom Stamps terrific Tuesday challenge. This week the cartridge is Simply charmed.  If you don't have it you can use a similar cut.
I used the birthday cake cut. I used glitter on the candles, stickles on the flames, and added glossy accents to the frosting. It's very bright and colorful.  I made quite a few for birthdays throughout the year, it's a very universal card even with all the bling :)

Wow! Stylish Blogger Award!

Hi Everyone!

Over the weekend I received the stylish Blogger award from 3 very TALENTED ladies.  They truly deserve the award. Thank you ladies, I appreciate it so very much! Please check out their blogs.

Amber at http://my3escrapbooking.blogspot.com
Kim at http://kimizkraftz.blogspot.com/
Cindy at http://scrappingroom.blogspot.com/

Upon receiving this award I must…
Thank the person who gave this award to me and link back to their blog
Share 8 things about myself
Pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered
Leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition.
  1. I love my family! I have the most amazing family! My husband is just about perfect, he is my dream come true. My boys are my pride and joy. They make me so proud to be their mom.
  2. I’m a foodie. I grew up in an Italian family and my Grandfather was a chef. Need I say more.  We enjoy all types of dining, from fine dining to a local burger joint and everything in between.
  3. I am going to be an Auntie! My very first niece (thank you God for a girl) is coming in June. So very excited – lots of girly projects on the horizon.
  4. I am a baseball mom, and proud of it! My oldest plays in college and my baby is 3rd year in little league.  I love watching those boys on the field. My oldest just had his first college game, rough start, but as I told him after the game. He looks so cute in his uniform, and he IS the cutest boy on the team J
  5. I am obsessed with paper! I love it and can’t get enough of it. I think I could paper the world.
  6. I love getting in my car and turning the radio up and singing my guts out. (without the family) Although my six year old thinks I should try out for American Idol. I don’t know what’s more touching, the fact that he thinks I still meet the age requirements or the fact that he thinks I can sing. (I can’t)
  7. I’m a girly girl. Yes, I love baseball but the running  joke is that you won’t catch me at the field without my heels! I love jewelry, handbags, hats, dresses, heels (the higher the better), anything that makes you look and feel pretty!
  8. My Girlfriends are a blessing! My bestie and I have been friends for 28 years.  For those that know what it is to have a B/F I don’t have to explain, but she is someone so special that God blessed me with and I could not imagine my life without her in it. My dear friends I’ve met along the way. We share stories, troubles, laughter, drama, tears, love, and sometimes chocolate cake. Mmmm my favorite! I just wouldn’t be the women I am with their love, support, and guidance.
Now for the 8 people that I have discovered, that's so tough! First these three women would be on the top of my list for sure. But I don't think I'm allowed to give it back am I?

Thank you for being so creative and inspiring! I look forward to looking at your new projects every week!

Basketball Cards

Hi Everyone!

Great day so far, went to church and have just been relaxing around the house.  Are you ready for Superbowl? For me it means, yummy food! We are going to my sister in-law's house very soon. Just wanted to share some cards I made for my son's basketball team.  I actually made them to go with the snack bags, but I just didn't get around to finishing them in time. I used the Sport Mania cartridge and my white gel pen. (still practicing :) Have a great Sunday!

Hot Lips - Valentines Card

Hi Everyone!

There are so many great challenges this week.  I made this card in my gypsy a couple nights ago for Momo’s challenge – Make something with the colors black, white, and hot pink.  But, you must have at least one heart on your card.

Cooking with Cricut is also having a challenge to complete a new project with a shadow.  Anything that has a “shadow”

Flaunt it Fridays challenge is asking that we make something with the Indie Art cartridge and the cut choice this week is the Lips.

I am entering this card in all three. Love when it works out like that!

For my card I used the heart card in Wild card cartridge, the lips from Indie Art, and the paper from K&Company daydreams pack. (VERY cute paper).  Of course no lips would be complete without a little bling!

Rain Boots - More than Favors Color Challenge

Hi Everyone!

What a gorgeous day today!  It is my day off and I spent it doing laundry and crafting! I really enjoy looking at everyone's blogs and getting inspiration from all of you talented people.  I also would like to thank you for the sweet comments! They do make me smile.  So I wanted to make a card for a friend that lives in Oregon.  She loves it there and I am happy she loves where she lives as much as I love where I live. I am so blessed to live a mile from the beach and enjoy seeing the ocean everyday! I used the paisley cartridge for the boots.  I used the gypsy to separate them and reverse one. O.K. so I'm not the best at the white pen. I love the look just need more practice. The tag is from TBBM Cartridge. I love how this card turned out.  I entered it in Paula's (MoreThanFavors) color challenge using yellow, blue & white.

Martini Anyone? More than Favors Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Here is a card that I created for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge at More than favors.  The cartridge this week is Nifty Fifties. I don't have that cartridge so I used the Jubilee cartridge for the Martini glass.  I used George for the shape on the inside of the glass, and I cut my own shadow. The paper is from a pack that I found at Big lots. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you looking!
