Trendy Twine - Happy Bee-lated Birthday

Hi There!

I'm over on the Trendy blog sharing a Bee-lated Birthday card :) This month the Trendy team is showcasing Bumble Bee Trendy Twine. What a FUN color! The blog will be buzzing with inspiration this month.
I tried something different and took a little inspiration from my DT sister Kimberly. I created a type of spinner card.  I just thought a little floating, spinning bee would be perfect for this month! I created a card and used a die cut for the middle and simply placed the twine down the middle. I sandwiched the bee around the twine. So I had to make my bee pretty on both sides, I sparkled him up with lots of glitter paper and stickles.

I added a pretty yellow polka dot frame on the outside to cover the twine. I added more Bumble Bee Trendy Twine and a fun sentiment.

This was a really fun and simple card to make. Kids would love these little spinning cards!

Die Cuttin Diva's - Paint Chip Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's challenge. Oh MY GOSH, is this a FUN challenge. It's a paint chip challenge. I have to say that when I saw this challenge on our list I thought hmmmm? I was at the home improvement store buying stuff :) and thought oh yeah let me grab some paint chips for my project. I had no idea what I would make so I just picked colors that I liked. Well let me tell you, I LOVED this challenge.

I decided on MCT flower Die Cuts and I really wanted to use both the peach and mint.

After several tries, I ended up with this pattern because I found a sentiment that fit perfectly in the top right corner.

I carefully stamped the ink on the sentiment using a variation of the colors.

Oh my gosh, who knew this would be so fun and look so nice. The paint chips cut so awesome and the stitching on mine look so sharp and perfect!

I really encourage you to try this and join us, I know you'll LOVE it!!

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's challenge. This week is the March Sketch. It's a fun one :)

I used the sketch vertically to create a Project Life card. I just wanted to try :) Sadly, I'm not a planner or PL person but I thought since we have a huge amount of family B-day's in March it would be fun to create one page. I hope someday to organize my life and become a planner and PL person!

Since I used the sentiment in the middle I used an arrow stamp and some star stamps for embellishments. Using a sketch, the ideas are just endless...

Trendy Twine - Mr. & Mrs.

Hey There!
I'm over on the Trendy blog sharing another card showcasing Krafty Red Trendy Twine. Wedding season is upon us and this Spring and Summer we have quite a few weddings to attend. I LOVE weddings and I just LOVE seeing a bride - such a beautiful sight :)
I created a card and gift holder for the bride and groom.

I used lots of gorgeous Krafty Red Trendy Twine and a pillow box from Annie's Boutique. I think it's a nice option to package a gift card, gift certificate, money or in this case...

We purchased the bride and groom a champagne brunch for one of their honeymoon days. Their honeymoon registry was online and you just simply select the gift and the hotel sets up the gifts and activities for them. I thought it was so awesome! I just printed the certificate and placed it inside the box.

I used a very simple design for the card and more die cuts and Krafty Red Trendy Twine. I love the pattern paper and the bold red. Hope the happy couple enjoys it.

Stop by the Boutique and grab these goodies to make your own wedding treats!

Trendy Twine - Anniversary Card

Hey There!

I'm over on the Trendy blog sharing a fun Anniversary card showcasing Krafty Red Trendy Twine. Our wedding anniversary is in March (17 years :)) so I wanted to make a card for the hubs.
Let me tell you... He is a good reason to be happy :) I wanted a bright and happy card so I always think of yellow as a bright and happy color. I trimmed the edge of some printed card stock with Krafty Red Trendy Twine. I love this color combo, I thought it looked nice together.

I stamped a Happy sentiment from My Creative Time and adhered it to the Yellow gingham paper. I thought the card needed one last touch so I added a double kraft red bow!
Don't forget this is the last week we are showcasing  Krafty Red Trendy Twine so stop by the blog and get inspired!

Die Cuttin Diva's - Carnival Theme

Hey there!

It's Tuesday and you know what that means... A new challenge over at  Die Cuttin' DivasThis week we are off to have some fun at the carnival!! We are celebrating National Carnival Day ~ Use something you would find at a carnival or circus.

I went with the most obvious :)

A circus tent! I used a cut from CAC cricut and some really old paper and I even doodled on my ticket tags. The sentiments are from Craftin Desert Diva's - such a cute set.

Die Cuttin Diva's - Kids Theme

Happy Tuesday!
It's time for another Die Cuttin Diva's challenge. This week is all about the kids! It's always fun to make a project for a child, I love using all the fun kid colors and elements.

I found these great cards on pinterest... so many different versions and styles and you can make them using circle dies.

I chose a bright lime green with polka dots for the background but you can chose any color. They have some really cute dragon cards in purple... the options are really endless.
First I chose the size card I wanted (A2) then I used my largest circle die to cut a semi circle in my paper but I did not cut all the way through. You actually can cut all the way through but then you probably need a color card stock behind as well. Next I cut 5 - .75" circles for the monster teeth, 2-1.5" circles for the eyes and 3- .25" circles for the nose and eyes. Once you have everything complete, assembly is simple. I adhered the teeth inside the slit, attached the eyes and nose, stamped a fun sentiment from Scrappy Mom stamps and it was that simple.
